DIY Toddler/Learning Tower (With Plans!)

- Hey guys, in this video we’re knocking out another honey-do-list item. I built a toddler tower so my 2-year-old can be up at the counter while we prep our evenings meals. But that’s not all, this tower also doubles as a desk/activities table when unfolded, and I’ve even made and included a set of plans!

Only Materials required:
- 2x6x8 pine board (Qty2)
- 2’x4’ ¾” sheet of plywood (Qty 1)
- 3” trim head screws (one box)
- Small Hinges (Qty 2)
- Small Clip Latches (Qty 2)
- Paint/stain/finish of your choice

Actually I think the plan has changed, courtesy of the mrs. No more high chair plan :( haha but I do have a pretty stellar set of bookshelves in the pipeline (also of walnut).

Another point. On your plans, there is a cross brace above the step and in front of the plywood. There is no brace on the one you built. Curious why that is?
I bought the plans but nothing mentioned any measurements where to fasten the step. The video goes so fast, you cant process any of it. Maybe when you buy the plans, you should get a slower version.
Definitely not a bad thought. The unfortunate reality is filming/editing the video already makes 2-3 times longer than just building the piece, simply don’t have time to create a separate video specific catered toward the plans. I’d have to charge way more for the plans to make it worth the time, and I’d rather keep them affordable.

Building these projects, filming, editing, creating plans - this all takes a lot of time and effort. Selling plans is a small way I can recoup a bit of that time. Sorry, I can’t offer them for free. I’m sure if you search online, there are some free plans out there for something similar.
