I am a full-grown adult woman, have been living on my own for half my life, and I STILL can't comprehend how my mom and grandma were able to cook full holiday meals for the whole family and have everything ready to go at the same time. I consider it a good job if I'm able to get a Crock Pot turkey breast, Instant Pot broccoli, and home-baked bread lined up simultaneously...and THEY just used the stove and oven for everything.

if you never learned to cook because you thought it was only for cooking for a man, its not too late to try it out now, i love cooking for myself- if my allergies act up or i get a stomach ache, its preventable the next try, i dont have to deal with people rolling their eyes when i say im lactose intolerant and have nut allergies and so on. 10/10, its fun finding out what you like to do with food, even if its not that gourmet shit. it can be as simple as just letting a cracked egg boil in the instant ramen.
