Trailmakers is about building very awesome vehicles and machines, but you don’t need an engineering degree to get started. The intuitive builder will get you going in no time. Everything you build is made from physical building blocks. Each block has unique features like shape, weight and functionality. They can be broken off, refitted and used to build something new. Individually the blocks are fairly simple, but combined the possibilities are endless.
Expedition Mode is the challenging campaign mode of Trailmakers. You are competing in an off-world rally expedition with only a few building blocks to get you started. You must build, tinker with and rebuild your machine to progress. Journey through a big world, overcome deep gorges, angry wildlife and dangerous weather to progress and find new parts that will juice up your machine. The world in Expedition Mode will test your survival skills and ingenuity.
Sandbox Mode is where you want to head for an unrestricted, sandbox, vehicle-building experience. Here you can build anything you can dream of, and play around with it in the world of Trailmakers. It is a great place to test out crazy machines, and experiment with the physics engine. With tons of different blocks, hinges, thrusters and interactive vehicle parts - the skybox is the limit.
Trailmakers is even more fun if you play it with other people. Build cool vehicles and compete in mini-game modes with your friends or other Trailmakers online. Build a helicopter, send it to your friend, and shoot them out of the sky. Put two seats on a tank, and let your friend control the turret. As we get further in Early Access development Expedition Mode will also be adapted to multiplayer.

Day 3 of asking scrapman to do a mini train multiplayer monday
Rules: No thrusters
Has to look like a train
Has to have 8 wheels or more in total (4 wheels per boogie)
Mods can be allowed but no glitches or very fast blueprint editing (mods only for small parts and decor.)
Max build size 5x20 (not sure how long but not too short)
How to set up:
If the game can handle it all go at once (if not do 2 players and who gets faster time wins or do a solo time trial)
Engine speed 3 from top (Electric or gas engines, you guys can choose)
Challenge:
Train starts in train yard
Then goes to a nother train yard with train cars to pick up
Then travels for a bit and drop of the cars (add some rail road crossings and make you guys honk your horn when going by)
Then go back to the train yard
Then stop engine or just stop moving
Judging score:
How fast or slow
Controllably
Looks
How good of a job the worker did (like train cars and loading loads off of train cars, and with the laws with trains like stoping at red lights and honking at railroad crossings)
Any other ideas you guys have for judgement

Next time everyone makes a vehicle, and then the vehicle will be randomly assigned (with the chanche of getting yours, so you can't build a trash vehicle on purpose).
The point is to build a good vehicle to win, yours makes it so that could be a strategy
build a limo and race it into the highest point of the map with twisty turns so you will suffer

i spended £31 on this and its soooooooooooo worth it its the best game i ever played because you can explore the maps and build all kind of crazy stuff and the physics are all like real life i just love this even the graphics are amazing :D

suggestion: build a car (maybe with jets) than detach a glider and then do stunts. so almost the same like this only now you detach from the thrust instead of taking it with you

Challenge idea: Bombers vs AA
Split up into 2 teams. Each person builds a bomber and an anti-aircraft turret. The bombers have dynamite which they can drop, while the turrets can have several small cannons. The turrets must remain stationary, but can aim at the bombers from their position on the ground. Bombers make runs over the turrets and try to destroy them. Whoever is still alive at the end of the round wins.

How about doing some kind of challange or race where you have to jump off a cliff or something and use transform mid air into a boat(without diving bell) and land in the water and keep driving.
I made a speedboat during my playthrough on trailmakers and it felt so awesome driving off cliffs and drive away with a speedboatlooking boat(again no diving bell)
You guys need to use these in another video because its fun to watch

"Handicapped Gliding Car Race"
The rules are simple, build a car with only wheels for propulsion that also has wings.
Set power core limit, but user choice as to which engines.
Race an obstacle course including jumps (to make use of your gliding ability).
The loser of the race wins a raw jet engine to keep for the rest of the competition.
Round two, the raw jet engine may be used without restriction. The loser of this round wins a raw jet engine.
Round three, you can see where this is going...
No limits on how many times you may lose and thus gain another raw jet engine.
5 points for 1st, 3pts for 2nd, 1 pt for 3rd (if four players or more).
-1 point for last place (hey, you get a raw jet engine, don't complain).
Say 10 rounds, highest point count wins.

heres a tip about shield pieces, they may weigh a bit more, but on their sides they provide an extreamly good airodynamics for the space they take up. I often use shield pieces for my creations. it looks better.
