Thanks for the video. For many reasons, I will not use the back yard for grilling. My 2 units are kept in the garage and I grill in the driveway. Fun fact, I place the 900 longways in the driveway with the hopper on the high side. The small tilt actually helps feed the fuel to the bottom chamber. It will also feed the grease pan if I ever cook on the bottom rack, which I haven't. I am a top rack cooker with aluminum pan on the bottom. No grease. My next cook with be the true test of fire management. Gonna start a brisket at 2300 hours. Won't fill to the line but will let it run for 6 hours before checking the hopper. Then I will refill as necessary. Wish me luck. JT
The good ole days of staying up all night. We would burn hickory wood in a barrel, add the coals to a homemade pit. OK Joe's was our first offset with a duel propane. Yes they are very heavy. Smoked and grilled many meals on it. Thanks for the information! ✌️
Great review Scotty. The charcoal feed getting clogged up is the reason I'm going with a masterbuilt. Really wanted to love this pit, but that feed issue is too much. Exactly right too about pellet smokers. Really convenient, but no where near real wood smoke flavor. Look forward to your next cook 🍻

what ever works for a person. i am old school and i enjoy the offseet flavor. which i do not get with my Masterbuilts

Glad to help,i love my masterbuilts, but they do not give me the offset flavor
