One of the greatest Armenians of all times! We, Armenians, are very proud to have such a well-known compatriot! Never had his perfumes because they're out of my price range. But constantly hear and read about his masterpieces. He's a true artist! Thank you for the great interview! He sounds like a very humble, kind and modest man! At the very least you must try a sample of his work. I’m new to the brand outside of hearing of the famous BR 540 perfume but I’ve recently received some samples and I am truly blown away by how beautiful and complex the various scents of the line are.
So many things I enjoyed about this interview. First of all, I must have been living under a rock bc I just discovered Francis Kurkdjian and his fragrances. His illustrations to help us understand this complex art of being a perfumer was brilliant. He is so intelligent yet he doesn’t come off arrogant. He was so generous with his knowledge of fragrance and his time. He felt comfortable with the interviewer I think bc she didn’t interrupt him but allowed him to talk freely. That’s rare of the interviewer Ms Masrani so cheers to her too. I just blindly purchased a couple days ago Gentle Fluidity based on a recommendation on Monika Cioch a fragrance youtuber who said if you love Rouge 540 you’ll love GF. I have yet to receive it but I have a sample of Rouge 540 which I love. I’m getting a sample of Satin Oud also. Francis was so gracious, warm and appreciative. Thoroughly enjoyed listening to him.
Maison Francis Kurkdjian is an awesome Master perfumer, love his MFK line and all the others masterpieces he has created along his journey as a Master perfumer and in fact iam waiting today for the mailman to arrived to bring me Masculine Pluriel which is my most recent purchase from his line, cant wait to wear it. Keep them coming Francis🙌🙌
I love how he educated. Particularly on the issue of buying bigger bottles and how oxygen is an enemy to perfume and makes the perfume fragrance fades once opened. Good to know.

this interview was fascinating to listen to. Without knowing a lot of perfumes that i love are made by Francis K. that is rather fascinating. I find the conversation as captivating as the fragrances he makes.
The way he says he’s happy to be home. This quarantine has allowed people who have had to work and travel so much, now they are given a break from the frenetic pace. I found that in the beginning...it was a break and that was out of my control. So it was a welcome thing, now it’s different for me. I find the isolation kind of suffocating. The way he discusses his reaction to quarantine is fascinating to me.

And recently I picked up the BR 540 Extrait which I loved for how distinctive it was too. This dude just makes things that are out of the box! so good.
I've never viewed perfume as art not until I learned more about Mr. Francis. This whole creative process someone tries to paint through scents is mind-blowing. He tells a story and lets you have your own take on it without being offensive. Indeed one of the best perfumers in the world. Respect!

I love this mans fragrances. My first set of scents by Maison Kurdjian was the Oud sampler set. I loved all of them (esp. Cashmere Mood Oud). I just purchased Grand Soir two weeks ago. Last week I was greedy and ordered the travel sizes of Oud Cashmere Mood from the MFK official site. Monday I ordered the travel sizes of Oud Silk Mood Extrait from Nordstrom. After I shower and moisturize all over, I love to smell of MFK or Tom Ford Private Blend and leave scent trails everywhere I leave.
Thank you Francis Kurkdjian for Narciso Rodriguez for him Edt it is a masterpiece of perfumery. Sadly discontinued but I hope that you may bring it back again in a MFK bottle with a new name.
I agree, you should never layer your perfumes. Not sure where people get that from. Perfumes should be enjoyed individually. Good perfumes cost too much and should be enjoyed one at a time. Thanks for the interesting interview.
Totally.. I think people have missed the whole point that ‘more is not always more’ and the perfume is enough. If people layer x and y, then x or y mustn’t be enough for them I wonder?

In need to watch this completely, I have just played some random minutes and they already were so informative - the background infos of Masculin Pluriel and why it is the right choice (in my case) to go with smaller sized bottles like 75ml. Francis Kurkdijan is an ambassador for the whole branch. ❤️
I like many of the mfk frags but sorely wish they were at a much more reasonable price point that would allow them to be purchased and enjoyed by more perfume lovers.
Aqua Celestia Forte is one my favorite MFK frag. I wish Burberry Her Blossom lasted longer. I have a son @ home w/ a heart transplant & another kid who's autistic so sniffing MFK's frags is one of the few joys. He's a true inspiration. 💗💗💗💗I keep saving to try to get all his scents. He's an absolute top guy. Very good at his profession, no doubt about it. But many of his scents are weak performing, and nothing overly special. I wasn't blown away by them, but this applies to many of Roja's too. Regardless we need more people like him in the world

Baccarat 549 extrait is my favorite perfume. It is my opinion the best fragrance ever made.
