I want to live in a community and have been searching for it for decades.
When I 1st started ACIM, I was trying to explain to my husband that we can't judge through our senses or perceptions. He was not hearing it. On his way to work, he was at a stop light and his car rolled back and bumped a car. He miss read the situation because the vehicles moving next to him was moving. He called me and reported that the Holy Spirit had just taught him about perceptual problems 😅

I think the main logic in surrendering to God’s Will is realizing that if we were created by Perfection, which is God by definition, then outpicturing anything else must be our own false creation.

We must begin to stop unconscious judgments and bring forth a more loving demeanor within our own heart and mind. This is not about showing off for others how great you are.
This is about calling yourself out on your own hatefulness. This is a fundamental law of creation that we must understand.
I don't think we can stop unconscious judgments, as we cannot be aware of what's unconscious, but we can stop believing our conscious judgments

I've stopped the course in miracles. The reason is that I was suffering from ego and therefore anxiety. I dont have the discipline to do this any more., and just got to 119. Maybe it's not the time. Bless you David.

Thank you so much. In the middle of the night last night I was awakened by the sound of rustling paper nearby. A very large cockroach was found near where I was sleeping. Naturally I couldn't return to sleep with the thought of it crawling on my body while I slept. So I seemed to go from a state of peace to one of irritability and then downright anger that I had to kill it. I sprayed it with bug spray. I watched as it began to die what I imagined was a painful, agonizing death. I found that I was quite angry with God. How can He put me in a position where I have to kill something?
So to have this video pop up for me In which you mention another type of insect seems heaven sent.
I am finding myself in challenging life circumstances and feeling angry underneath because I've been practicing the Course for 10 years. I will take this message to heart today. I admit that I have a perceptual problem. Thank you Holy Spirit for your ever present gentle guidance back home.
Had the same thing happen but with a venomous spider IN MY BED! But death upon the insect did not cross my mind i simply covered it with a water glass cup and took It outside. To think that god put you in a place of killing something is beyond ignorant and severely close minded. Open minded perception is key.
@@s7v7nfiv5 It's impossible to know for sure without knowing the type of spider, but many indoor species will die if relocated outside. There's a good chance that spider died as a result of your actions. Either way is fine.
I have a perceptual problem as well; and a problem with admitting it. The whole "world is an illusion, this does not matter" just didn't stick. I've been practicing for 8 years myself. I found that reading Ken Wapnick bridges that gap for me. Especially the book where he talks about the camel and the child, from Nietsche's Zarazustra.
I admit that I have a perceptual problem, and that this problem is outside of my (ego's) control. I accept that I need help to learn correct perspective, and invite the Holy Spirit in, handing it over to them.
You did that cockroach a favor and set it's spirit free! Lol
It is important to get guidance from the Holy Spirit to lead us to our desired end
As God is well aware of the desire of our hearts and is ready to give...
Seek the kingdom of God first and all will be given to you

I have studied the course since 1986 and am sure the change in perception to realizing that we are all one has changed my outlook to one of loving. When people annoy me I see them as calling for love.. Everything I see is a result of my thoughts.

The first thing I said when I went to therapy when they asked me for my Identity was I am a soul and the next thing I aasked was How do I unlearn everything i learned that is no learning seerving me and God was listening and I wrote the word Miracles on a bulletin board and the Course of Miracles came to me via the google God and I was home again and I heard the words you never left from the course. And now I am feeling like the whole world makes sense because of the dual perception was what I was noticing and not knowing why I couldnt deal with it. Why question for the therapist was HOW do I stop the resistance? The therapist could not anser this. The course answers everything and my anxiety is easily calmed when I return home.

There is a temptation to take our personification of the Holy Spirit and bring to it the sense of separation we feel between bodies. I want to help with this by reminding everyone of a passage in the text:
T-5.III.2. The Holy Spirit is the idea of healing. 2 Being thought, the idea gains as it is shared. 3 Being the Call for God, it is also the idea of God. 4 Since you are part of God it is also the idea of yourself, as well as of all His creations.

Eating the fruit of the tree of good and evil is the perceptual problem! Eating is believing, actively taking it in to your experience. Don’t eat it or you will suffer death, hardship, work etc. It’s the perPetual problem if we don’t stop eating. The answer is in the beginning.

The course doesn't ask us to not be normal. So of course you can ask. But leave your "friends" (sin, guilt and fear) behind when you do. If you can remain peaceful, non judgmental and defenseless when you interact with your neighbor, and have no investment in any outcome that swings in your favor. Then you have chosen the right teacher. But remember the attainment of peace is the goal, not a quiet neighbor. Peace brother!😉
