Real and pure talent, amazing harmonies and holy cow they were so yummie 😍😍😍😍 ladies back then were just themselves no botox fillers Brazilian wax or implants just real ! 😍😍😍 very under rated girl group and deserve all the respect in the world ! thanks for sharing greetings from the Netherlands everyone 💋
I appreciate how patchy they could be and the circumstances they found themselves in trying to get stuff on TV that kept the Musicans Union happy but I find the TOP Orchestra fascinating none the less.
@@walkingtheboogie They are fascinating. I knew Johnny Pearson personally and recorded a version of his theme music to "ALL CREATURES GREAT AND SMALL", which he got to hear before his passing. The Ladybirds, who were the TOTP Orchestra backing singers, were incredibly talented and performed a huge variety of tracks over the years on the show (and uncredited elsewhere) and on tv and film scores, including the tv show FOLLOW ME, and the feature film, THE FIEND. Brass player, Tony Lowther, has gone on to play on many a music recording for pop artists and film scores.
@@archivemediavault how interesting. I wish someone would write a book about all of this, complete with a listing of what songs they performed on. Status Quo wrote a aing called Blue Eyed Lady, which was about The Ladybirds or at least inspired by them in someway.
@@walkingtheboogie Yes, it is fascinating. A lot of information has been lost, sadly. A few years ago, Jonny Trunk managed to save multiple recordings by The Mike Sammes Singers that would have otherwise gone to landfill. It revealed that they had been the singers on many a tv advert jingle and backing on pop songs, that otherwise we would not be aware of. Unfortunately, information about The Ladybirds is scant.
@@pleun315 I don't put myself out there as the "Be all to end all," so no, this doesn't apply to me. I like artists who come from a real place, not ones who are put together by rich businessmen to sell a product.
never tired watching the Nolans ..all of them were beautiful especially Bernie....
My favorite The Nolans ..never tired watching and listening their songs especially Bernie
Wow. Each one more beautiful than the other.
Very hard for me to accept that this was over forty years ago. Where has the time gone? Life was wonderful back then ......
You need to go more outside 😂😂😂
Can't agree more, wish I was born that time..

Brilliant Bernie carried the others

One of the best TOTP orchetra's best backings. If you want to see a bad performance check their backing to Althea and Donna's 'Uptown Top Ranking'.
Or Kate Bush first ever performance of wuthering heights. Really bad.

They did help a lot of teen boys release their tension
Linda was the only reason to watch them 🤪
Coleen is 57 now and still hot
@@shane-irish really 🤣🤣🤣
2 irish groups after each other wow
They have lost one of the sisters it very sad
better lights, better clothes, better figures, better hair waht more.
They were behind every trend in music hair and fashion. So much better without colleen.
A perfect reminder that all was not well at the start of the 80s. Mountains of rubbish like this still needed shoveling into the skip.
I totally disagree but that's fine. We all like different stuff and some of it overlaps.
Noooo I love this song!
Bloody horrible song. Nothing but corporate contrived schlock. People only love them because they remind them of the good times of the 70s. Horrifying
I like it because I love the song. I don't even remember it first time around as I was rather young at the time.
You can only speak for yourself....😂😂😂 But ☝️ these sweethearts are still much much loved world wide ❤️❤️ and you my dear ...... ??
