Great video, I was unsure about the exhaust filter part, but I have the same one and had to replace the whole thing. Forgot to activate the filter when new, but I have activated the replacement. many thanks!
The bag full indicator next to where the hose attached to the machine measures the pressure differential between the hose and the bag compartment. It turns red when the air flow is reduced. When you block the hose it will indicate. Therefore if it seals to the floor it would indicate red. That would be normal. Is that what you are referring to as a red light?
@@electrichospital yes, that's what I mean. So I shouldn't be concerned. Just suckin action is not same strong as when I bought it new 2 months ago. And I changed filter. Im waiting for bag to be delivered cos I didnt hav spare 1. So for now I emptied old bag. And I also tried how it sucks without bag but saction is pretty much same. Not as strong as it was when used 1st time as new, 2 months ago I bought new hoover. I checked all hose too and its ok. My housemte has very dirty carpet floor and she doesnt take care what she leaves on floor and I think thats how she broke the last same hoover. So Im worried she may brake this new one too, and its got already less saction for some reason. So Im just not gonna allow her to use it. I think she broke the last one by overheating suckin in all kinda rubish. It's new hoover 2 months old & only after such a short time less suction. So Im sad, if its by her doing. It cost too much money to be broken again or not workin properly just cos she doesnt take care. Thank you for answer. I wait for bag. And see if red light will be different too.
Yes some reasons you may have less suction are: a blockage in the hose, wand, or powerhead. leak in the machine, in the hose, wand, or powerhead motor not on high speed, motor running slow, or
The one shown is not serviceable. It needs to be replaced. One option is to use the soft filter that comes in the box of bags. However it requires a filter support cage that not all machines came with. Note that it doesn't filter as well as the HEPA or charcoal filters.
@@electrichospital thank you! I use the paper one till I can get to the store for a charcoal. I like to support my local vacuum/sewing machine sales & repair shop.
That piece of foam that sits on top of the HEPA filter, is that necessary, or is it just use to cover or not to expose the HEPA filter? It's not like it's filtering anything. Just curious.
@@electrichospital Yeah I figured. I thought there was a way to have a HEPA and carbon in one, but I guess it's either one or the other. I can't imagine the charcoal filter is that much of a downgrade than the HEPA. Maybe it is. It says .10 microns. The HEPA is .03.
If you want to keep your warranty valid you should use the Miele filters. They are superior to the generic filters. I am not sure where or how you were thinking of using a facemask.
Thank you!! Finally a serious little film! Just lost my instruction manual for my vacuum cleaner - and here I found "yours". Thank you very much! 😊👍
Great video Paul, really helpful & you explained it all clearly & simply...HUGE thanks!
Glad it was helpful!
So helpful Sir. Thank you very much!!!
Most welcome!

Thank you, that was helpful.
Glad to hear it!
How to change this carbon filter?
If there is no red light indicator when hose is lifted but then goes all red when I put it on floor what does it mean? Thanks

Also is there a chance there could be a reason for less suction that maybe motor got tired or something? Its only 2 months new . @@electrichospital

And how to replace the AirClean filter? The one you said it is allright.... I can not find the way to open it and remove the old filter...

Thank u 🙏, v informative ,
Thanks for liking.
I just want to know how to change the cloth filter; is there an upside or does it matter?
The filter can be installed either way. Thanks for watching.

It does have some carbon impregnated in it. But I agree it doesn't do much but improve the look

It made of black material. It is not a filter, it is a sound dampener. Leave it on.
This was my question as well. Look-improver, HEPA-filter protector, charcoal filter, sound dampener. Sensational answers. I guess I'll leave it in.
Can you use a face mask instead a filter??
