    In December 2023 the USA clamped down on Chinese and Indian financial institutions making and receiving payment to and from Russia. The risk of Secondary Sanctions has reduced the amount of payments being processed and this has now been made worse by the clampdown on smaller institutions announced in June 2023. This has resulted in Russia struggling to receive and make payments and this is now damaging the Russian Economy. In addition countries are refusing to deal in Rubles meaning that it is now DEAD as a Global Currency. In this video I provide more details and discuss the problems that Russia is now facing.

      I say your money's no good. It's worthless to me. Unless you've got gold, go away. I'm not going to sell you anything.
      China isn't much help either. You need more things from China then China needs from you. That leads to a big trade deficit in China's favor.

      Putin tried to work with the west for decades but the west continues to corner Russia post cold war. The US needed a reason to keep the "threat of war" continues so that the CIA, defence companies & the US army continues to be relevant & huge. Yes, Putin shouldn't have invaded Ukraine but at the same time, the West left him no choice but to act aggressively.

    I think you nailed it! The recirculation of the same Rubles to purchase war related goods and services in absolutely crazy. It's like a bankrupt casino recycling the same old poker chips without the option of cashing out. Secondly, with the production shift to war goods, what products does Russia expect to sell to the world if and when the war ends? If the military is trying to buy back arms previously sold to third world nations, who will need or want to repurchase poor quality Russian arms in the future? Russia is now become the 'Banana Republic' of fossil products and nothing more.

      The biggest advantage Russia has is its natural resources. Converting arms manufacturing into consumer products has been done before by the US in both world wars. They have made an economist their minister of defense, obviously foreshadowing the post war economy. It’s actually the side that is winning that’s able to convert battlefield success into arms sales, especially winning against a NATO armed enemy. And post war the world still will run on fossil fuels, so exactly what has Joe nailed

      It also does not help that china may destabilize somewhat if Xi's heath is actually failing in addition to their current economic collapse. Russia is reliant on china for technology purchases and they are having to barter goods instead of using money for trade with china since the yuan isn't good either. If the CCP gets chaotic, that could cause disruption of what russia needs from china to keep going. It would help force russia to give up.

    • @boxcutter0
      @boxcutter0 2 місяці тому

      We should be careful about being too dismissive, Russian society is much more mobilized, as costly as this may be the military industrial capability is being expanded while “western” society is still neck deep in obesity, greed, failures of foundational cohesion, spoiled mentally neurotic snowflakes who were raised on anti-western propaganda, corporations that are obsessed with short- term profits instead of national/civilizational loyalty… and we continue to reward/coddle nefarious parasitic adversarial countries that enable continued Kremlin villainy, as customers and as providers of military/comfort oriented products/services, and peddling in gross propaganda.

    • @williamalexander9485
      @williamalexander9485 2 місяці тому

      @@_PatrickO What economic collapse? The Chinese are moving towards more advanced technology that’s why the US created the chip bill, and increased tariffs for EVS. The CCP as well as the Kremlin are moving away from the western financial system period. What’s happening now are just pleasantries. They are creating a whole new gold backed digital currency. It’s obvious that the sanctions had no effect on the Russian war machine as the Russian economy is expected to grow by over 3% according to the IMF. The Chinese economy has been growing at an average of 9% per year for over 30 years. So that clearly means it’s not dependent on 1 man
