I'd like to point out that the length of the instrument is the same as an acoustic Baritone Ukulele so if you want a gigbag that fits perfect in one for those.
Bought the original and I love iT! tricky to get used to at first but great fun cos you can take it anywhere. Also worth a mention that the fixed neck version has a coil split in the pick up so much more versatile!
Btw You two remember why PRS come with a hanging system in the bag? It is for hanging your PRS in wardrobes on Airplanes in First Class and some Club Class (or Virgin Upper). I've travelled with one guitar that way and the staff on board say "Thank you, Sir!" and give it back to you when taxiing to arrivals terminal. Course the only problem for most is the cost of the 'plane ticket.... Best, Pete.
I use the original with a NUX Mighty Air Amp when on the go - It's a fully wireless and battery operated system then, and will fit even in your carry-on or backpack. Its a great combo for jamming on the beach!
Slightly unrelated comment but I’ve taken a Taylor GS Mini on EasyJet flights for years in the overhead locker without a problem so this will be a dream to take on.
Has Blackstar discontinued these? I ask because I have one in white and would love another with a different color. Not into the yellow but the blue with white pickguard and binding would be great.
Too late. I just bought a new travel guitar. I'm replacing a Traveler Vaibrant(not bad but very uncomfortable to play and paper thin gig bag), with a Latitude Dove. I really hope it's not much bigger than the Vaibrant. Hasn't shown up in the mail yet.
I enjoyed the sounds and fretboard for the one I had, but ultimately couldn’t get past the light neck dive and needing a strap to play it comfortably. Upgrading the tuners made the neck dive worse. Fun guitar though!
I'm frustrated, I've searched all over the web and UA-cam and I can't find the difference between the JB and the ST model. I see the JB selling for twice the price, can someone please tell me the difference??
I got charged extra for my Hofner Shorty by Jet2 on a flight from Manchester to Venice. Took the neck off and put it in my suitcase on the return flight. This one is sligthy smaller so migth get away with it on some flights. But would not like to try taking it on a Ryan air Flight 😂
@@fongy200 you are probably right. I said that without actually searching but I haven't seen one in a long time. If I went to the guitar center near me and saw a decent price and product I would probably purchase it lol
@@caseyfreeman3994 I don't think their anything like the original ones, only in look. I think the circuitry is different in the newer ones. Last time I saw one was in the movie Crossroads with Ralph what's his face out of the Karate kid. He used a Pignose with that early blonde Tele.
I bought a Hofner Shorty years ago because it looked like a good idea in theory, but I could never get past how awkward it was to handle. Neck dive and tough to place in the classical position. I would like to hear if anyone has had a good experience with these. Would a strap help?
This is the exact same. It looks, plays, and sounds good, but it has bad neck dive because of the tuners are far too heavy. Not to mention it continuously wants to slip onto its back while trying to rest it on my leg. Very uncomfortable to the point I'd rather just not bring it with me. When are manufacturers gonna learn to balance their instruments?
Morning gents! Killer into. Those guitars look quite nice for travel/practice guitars. I've been thinking I need to grab a carbon fiber travel guitar to play at work though. Since my office is a very dry, very cold(in the winter), and very hot(in the summer) warehouse lol
i really like the blue one. do you guys know where i could possible get a gig bag that could fit this guitar? im a flight attendant and would love to bring this with me on trips. thanks!
I don’t understand this guitar at all. I want a travel guitar but this one is too long to fit in a medium to large suitcase. It’s also too long to carry on the plane. Guess I’ll continue to take the neck off my squire, put it in my case with a screwdriver.
I did that with a Tele a few years ago. It worked well, although it did take up a lot of space in the suitcase. The main thing is to pack a set of strings and the tools to reassemble and restring it. I have a little Cruztools kit which does the job.
This what happens if you get your Gibson Les Paul Jr. wet and put it in the dryer at too high of a heat. 😢Blackstar have been able to find that fine line between stupid and genius with a lot of products in the last couple of years.
Very gimmicky! Guess you cold do sea sick Steve thing with on as they sound like his 3 string guitar, if I go ion holidays I can leave the guitar behind for a week or two , when I used to travel around Europe I always took a small acoustic guitar and never had any problems and it sounded better too.
I'd like to point out that the length of the instrument is the same as an acoustic Baritone Ukulele so if you want a gigbag that fits perfect in one for those.
What is the actual overall length of the Carryon?
Thanks 🙏 😅. Asked for one for Christmas and didn’t realise it didn’t come without a gig bag lol

I've been looking at them for a while. Glad to hear that you're enjoying it. How is the balance? Is it neck divey?
@@v1rtualnish it is a bit, but it’s so light you don’t really notice it
I love mine, take it everywhere. Play at my desk during work breaks, awesome for practice and sounds full sized

Can’t believe you guys didn’t play this with the Blackstar Amped 1!?! Perfect little travel kit.

What’s the price range for that? 😅 I’m looking a budget one but can’t seem to find what I’m looking for lol
I got the yellow one as a stocking stuffer for this Christmas. Added an Andertons T-shirt too. :)
Pete can make any guitar sound great!
Also good for those with Arthritic type problems as the string tension is a lot less.
Oh my, I think I just bought the last left handed one from the first series. Can't wait!
Slightly unrelated comment but I’ve taken a Taylor GS Mini on EasyJet flights for years in the overhead locker without a problem so this will be a dream to take on.
One of these, with a Fender Mustang Micro, a pair of headphones, and a wee hard case! How cool would that be???
It fits in my hard case suitcase. I got it from you..... yellow. Awesome
How does it compare to the Hohner "Cricket Bat" The G3T - I LOVE mine.
Has Blackstar discontinued these? I ask because I have one in white and would love another with a different color. Not into the yellow but the blue with white pickguard and binding would be great.
That’s awesome. But in the us guitars need to go into cargo. But something that size should fit into a luggage bag no problem.
Cool little guitar. Would also be something for my children

Are they planning to do a left handed version? This type of guitar could be what my daughter is looking for but she’s a leftie
Do it in Metallic Purple & I'm IN! 👌🏻
Is this a good first guitar for a 9 year old?
If only they had a built in speaker like the old pignose guitars
I feel comfortable saying it would be a good idea to bring that stuff back
You can still get them, they still make them, or I think or they haven't long stopped.

Need to make that body outta oak or something!
🤔 Blackstar Carry On + Strum buddy. Perfect! (Can you shipping to Brazil?)
I think there should be normal size Blackstar guitar that will pair up nicely with my Silverline amp :)
Price is quite high and not even kickbag... But i still want it for outdoor play for sure. And they come 12 string set that quite intresting.
Where is the gig bag Blackstar promised?
Has it not come out?
Wouldn't these make great lap steel guitars? Asking for a friend...
Great sound!
I can see us buying one of these too, after more pianos though… ❤
Will it chug...?!?😜 Please send one to Ola Englund...! lol

Very Cool, Thankyou.
Can't find a left handed one!

Any bass?
Nice !
Cute little things and I appreciate the positive Ukraine reference. Happy Holidays!

What kind of man wants a pink guitar FFS
One who doesnt judge people based on what color of a particular thing they want is.
men without fragile masculinity
the confident man, sure of his sexuality, probably banging models
We get it, you're too manly for a pink guitar.
Hulk Hogan would!
Do a vid with a guitar with a built in speaker!
Sorry guys the Traveler Guitar LTD EC-1 beats this hands down more specs and a more real guitar size and feel.
Color of the Ukraine flag lol yeah I'll avoid those colors. Give me black instead
