An excellent presentation and fine example of model photography by Dawn Quest who is a UA-cam Star who has the good sense to know that she is NOT the central part of the subject matter. Thanks to the beautiful lady 🎉!
Aw, thank you!
Another excellent video Dawn & 'Grumpy' - thank you.. It was indeed a great show and well worth the 5 hour round trip for me. I find that the meeting and chatting with the exhibitors is as enjoyable, if not more so, than closely scrutinising layouts and watching the models being operated. Even on Sunday afternoon, when many could have been excused for tiring and looking forward to closing up and heading home, I found most exhibitors were more than happy to engage in conversation, tell me enthusiastically about their layouts, answer my questions and share in some laughter. It was a pleasure to get to meet both of you, Bob Edwardes (Bristol Docks), Kevin Staden (Moor Boxes), the Gara Bridge team, Ray Norwood (Hounslow Sidings) and Stephen Dance (City Basin Goods), to name just a few. Congratulations and many thanks to the EXE MRS for a great show. 😃😃
Great video Dawn, thanks for the comments.
Kevin Staddon, Secretary EXE Model Railway Society.
Great mix of layouts....presentation is everything.....keep doing what you do best...
Nice of you to join us Dawn!!! Thanks for the great video too!!!😊
Thank you - it was a pleasure!
Thx, great looking show
Thank you!
World needs more women like you!!
Thanks Joseph!
Dawn, that was a good coverage on a good exhibition. Congrats on your award! I loved Gara Bridge ( next to yours of course ho ho!) There was great quality there. Well done.
I agree with you - I think Gara Bridge was one of my top 3 there.
Love your work enjoy your presentations, keep up the great work
Thank you!
Yet another brilliant and informative video, I visited your layout on Sunday, I have viewed all your video's and seen your layout on those several times. Nothing prepared me for the impact it has in person. After viewing several shall we say 'normal' layouts I turned the corner and gasped! It is so different and a joy to see. Well done on being brave enough to be different. Also, well done on the editing of this video. Great to speak to you and at last meet Grumpy. Cheers Steve.
Thanks Steve - fantastic to get your feedback. It means a lot.
excellent camera work by 'grumpy' and good over commentary by the lovely Dawn.
Nice to meet you at the exhibition Dawn , I did say Saturday I thought you were in with a great chance of winning . Excellent video and layout . Say hello to Grumpy too . We hope to put on another great exhibition next year which is by far the largest exhibition in the southwest . Hope we catch up soon . Steve Hannaford EMRS
Thanks Steve - lovely to meet you too! Looking forward to 2025! :-)
Hi Dawn, I agree it was a very good show, we were there on Saturday with twoof my grandchildren, loved your monochrome layout, what a very interesting idea, so well thought out. We also had ai good chat to a chap on the live steam layout my grandchildren could not believe that they could make a steam engine that small. The layout that allowed children to drive the engines on a small tablet that was awesome, the kids enjoyed that, the exhibitors were happy to talk to the kids and of course we came away with the diamond jubilee wagon, among others. Thanks for taking the time to help grow this fantastic hobby. Eddy xxx
Thanks Eddy - it was great to see so many children at the show, all having a good time!
Again, a honest straightforward and unbiased review of a Model Railway exhibition, as always and what we have all come to expect of Dawn and Grumpy. A good and varied example of a show, my only regret is that Exeter is a bit far from my front door.
However, I do believe a couple of friends of mine were able to attend, and meet M`s Quest in person, and whom now will not let me forget this ever!!!
Thing is `they` live in Paignton so it being just a short trip into Exeter.
BUT to console me fortunately only the other day two `0` gauge figures of M`s Quest `popped` through the letter box.
Why two, well why NOT😘❓
We had a guy from New Zealand visit once as well as a party from Italy 2 years ago.
Well done for winning the Visitors (Visitors'🤔) Choice award. It's a great little layout 👍🏻
Thank you so much!
Excellent - thanks for this - the Bristol Harbour layout was exceptional! Really inspiring :-) And congratulations!
It was - i loved it! Bob is an exceptional modeller.
Hello Dawn (and Grumpy), another entertaining video and commentary; I also congratulate the cameraperson (Grumpy?) on not making me feel dizzy when panning across a layout. Many congratulation on winning Visitor's Choice with Brief Encounter. Hope to see you at another show in my area - around Milton Keynes. KR, Keith (Silver Fox MRC)
Thanks Keith! We do try and pan slowly!! :-) Would love to be at the Silver Fox show.
Great vid, congrats on visitors choice
Thank you x
Good video of train show thanks lee
Great Video Dawn. I see you are at the Bluebell tomorrow. I may see you there!!!
Hope so! :-)
Great review. Thanks, Dawn.
Thank you!
Usually attend but had to miss this year (domestic duties - don’t ask!); so sorry to miss this one since it looked a great Exhibition as usual; but thanks for update (beautifully shot as well!)
Sorry you had to miss it! Next year!
Just as well, it didn't say, "Fill your boots!" Squelch!
The visitors had their say, well done 👏
I love your layout, Dawn. It is awesome!!!
Awww - thanks Alan!
Well done congrats. Great video.
Thank you!
@@modelrailwayquest your welcome
First Class presentation! love the camerawork, the. commentary, (I really dislike the echoing inane background noise on most videos of shows), the wit and humour, the interviews ... and your monochrome idea is so imaginative. good work! Are you the Bob Symes of the 21st century?! lol
There was some great layouts on show. Well filmed and presented once again, very enjoyable..cheers James 🙂👍
well done with the visitors award...xx
Congratulations !
I do notice that Tidworth didn't have any drivers in any of the cars, buses and lorries on the roads. I do T, and all mine clear-windowed vehicles, and train carriages, have drivers and passengers. But then, I am stark, staring, more-than-mad.
HI all, are you covering Stafford this year , thank you as always for great show review 👍
Hi Nick - I'll have to take a look at the diary but if we can, we will! :-)
@@modelrailwayquest All that jet-setting sure dose book the old diary up quickly lol

Crewe, Any Of Them Names Sound British?
That's fantastic that you'e heard of Nigel - a very talented modely railway builder. And yes, let's not forget Boston, (New) York, etc! And Viriginia has a Manchester, Dover, Norfolk and Richmond and a Bedford... which is where I was born in the UK!
Another excellent video, Ms Q.
Quote of the day was from Darren, Newvaddon Parkway, regarding publiv feedback: "There's always something moving/happening." Wise words. It's so important to keep the action coming in order to maintain interest these days.
Lots here for a GWR / BR(W) fan like me to enjoy. Newton's Yard looked great.
Still impressed with Brief Encounter.
Thanks for making & sharing.
It was a GWR bonanza! And yes - I love Newvaddon Parkway because it really entertains visitors with lots moving all the time!
