Hola Florkubana. Llegue a tu canal de casualidad y me encanta. Soy Cubana de Oriente, en Oriente teniamos una comunidad de Jamaica muy grande. Te hablo del 1955 al 1962. Me as traido buenos recuerdo.
Thank you for this video it makes me so happy to see this. I have church members on a mission in Colombia, and I send money to make sure they can take care their needs.
That’s more than a bargain… as you know $16,000 in Ja only 2 bags and you lucky if you get 2 nights dinner out of it. The veggies are really beautiful and the all that mushrooms wow 😮
One of the biggest issues in Jamaica is the cost of living particularly with food and energy costs. I think some studies were done and we're like in the top 10 countries 😭
I felt the same way when I was shopping in Éxito Supermarket in Laureles in May. Such high quality food (couldn’t stop talk bout the healthy escallion) and it was so cheap. Me ready fi go back in January.
That amount of groceries would cost overJ$75k. The last time I went shopping in Jamaica ,I picked up a few basic items which included one chicken the bill came to over$20k, so maybe I am being conservative in estimating your shopping , it's probably closer to over100k 🤔😁
Writing this before I’ve watched video and I already know things are cheaper in Colombia. Just saw a video yesterday from an American visiting JA and went to a supermarket and showed prices there. Outrageous. Of course all were imported crap gmo glyphosate stuff from US. I sent the video to a Jamaican friend visiting Nicaragua. So he was saying something about how high prices were in JA and prices in Nicaragua so much cheaper. I said I’m sure prices for food anywhere in the world is cheaper than in JA. Even Hawaii the prices are a little less and we have the most expensive food prices non the us
In every single aspect, I didn’t even get mad when I had to pay for toll because the roads were so good and they had free ambulance emergencies of any kind available on the highway
😅Your videos are entertaining, you look fab in that out-fit. The quality of those items looks superb and I’m sure they are value for money. I fear that they may not be as healthy as they appear. Those Scallions are way above their Natural size - too tall because of fertiliser. Not good. The closer veg are to their original size, the better. 😇💖
Wow the groceries are cheap over in Columbia, jamaica way too expensive, when i do shopping in St Ann where i stay, oh my goodness, it’s way too much sis.
The stuff in Jamaica is so expensive and wimpy looking. Could be drought related. I grow scotch bonnet pepper from jamaica here in America and they are three times the size here.
The meat look nice @Florkubana. As a matter of fact all the food looks good. Me woulda fat. I live in Canada and you would not get all that for that price.
I lived in Colombia for 5 years as a Jamaican and was there this summer for a visit as I now live to another country. The standard of life is way better than Jamaica. Also it depends where you shop if you use D1 or Olímpica then you get things cheaper but if Carulla then that is more expensive.
Thank you so much for your comment. I didn’t want to put it that way because I’m an outsider but the standard of living is very high and after I did the voiceover, I realized that I made a mistake I should’ve said it was a fancy supermarket.

It’s funny when you think of places like JA and Colombia Cause these places were known for ganja, well at least in the past for Colombia till they started growing coca in Colombia. My children are part Jamaican part Colombian. Oh boy
I found Colombia cheaper than Panama and do you know that when you are leaving Colombia, you can show your receipts of things that you bought and get the taxes back? It is just mind blowing, every time I paid for something in Columbia I felt like a thief.🤣
@Florkubana 😆, I just learned something, and I'm definitely planning on going back, I was wish jamaica so that cheap. Mexico was not as cheap as I expected, even though I stayed in cancun
