The Colombia They Don’t Tell You About: Family Life in a Small Colombian Town

This is the side of Colombia that travelers don’t usually talk about. Thanks to the Passport Bro movement, the word Colombia has become synonymous with parties and... well, you know. But Colombia is so much more than that.
In this episode, I’ll take you through what a typical Saturday looks like for a family in the small town of Chinchiná, located in the heart of the Eje Cafetero (Coffee Region) of Colombia.
While our kids enjoyed a day of fishing, my husband and I went for a peaceful hike through the stunning mountain landscape, then headed into town for a delicious and incredibly affordable lunch.
