I hope you enjoy today's episode transforming the Mesa biome into this!! I am so happy with how it turned out.. Any ideas of things to add in?
Red sand
I'm about halfway through the video and it's great, however it may be nice to add in the Azalea or Cherry Blossom leaves to give out the green/pink particle effects! Fantastic transformation nonetheless.
happy late b day!
belated happy birthday fwhip!!🎉
@@snelly_19 haha
I think that "Lush Delta" sounds like a good name for the biome. It looks a lot like deltas I've seen in real life, so I think it works. Also, Happy Birthday, fWhip!
oooo! I like that! Stemming from that, the more lush parts could be considered Delta Oasis.
Lush lagoon
bruh I was gonna say that
@@swagxolotl5738love that
I was going to suggest Mesa delta. Until I seen Lush delta here. Go wit the lush!
You should call the biome a floodplain like how the land around the Nile is called the Nile floodplain. It sorta implies that the river floods every once and a while depositing water and nutrients in the soil allowing things to grow there
I was thinking the biome could be called the Oasis, and the river biome specifically could be called the floodplain
Honestly as a lover of the mesa, this looks gorgeous and I'm taken aback by how beautiful you made it despite the crispy leaf colour. Truly, you're one of the best, and I can't wait to see what you do next!
Hey Fwhip, I would suggest putting the pink coral in the flower pots on top for the cactuses. I could make some variation to the design and also give a pop of color ;)
HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY FWHIP
Happy bday
Happy birthday.
Happy birthday
Happ y Birthday
Happy late birthday fWhip! Best wishes to you!👍🏼
Thank you for the time you spend on your videos, thank you for the quality and quantity, thank you for these fantastic durations that are neither too long nor too short, thank you for your projects that seem crazy, but come to life as you believe in them, thank you for the energy and good humor you put into your work, thank you for these fantastic edits to each episode, thank you for this dose of dopamine you give to each new video.
Thank you for your fantastic work and HAPPY late BIRTHDAY fWhip!
Glad you like them! Thanks you for the kind comment!
this is absolutely GORGEOUS, but I feel like it's more that you replaced the biome than transformed it. I'd love to see if you could do a transformation that still included the red sand, though obviously on a MUCH smaller scale than this one 😅
The callbacks to Papyrus and the first building with fwhip series are really nice to see. I remember being pretty sad at first when you decided you wouldn't continue working on it, but after the past year and a half of progress on this world, that sadness is long gone. I still feel nostalgia for it sometimes, like during the roads episode when you build the ruined fort (it reminded me of Eagleview Castle in the old world) and over the last few episodes with the desert-themed builds. But this world is coming along so well, and it's really amazing to see everything done on it. I can't wait to see where it goes next!
I love playing minecraft to build entire worlds so "building with fWhip" has turned into how I play the game in general.. Loved working on that series but also really really love where I'm at now with these new worlds!
@@fWhipHey Fwhip, When are the Empires series coming back?
Pinging in a reply comment isn't the best way to get that answer. Season 2 just ended and they have new life and pirates smps happening right now so it will be at least till those series are over. Be patient and enjoy this content for now
Me: *Gives up on my desert city because I can't make it look mediterranean enough*
fWhip: I'm starting a new desert city (like the one that inspired you to build one in the first place)!
wish there was like a mini series of Fwhip and Bdubs. just to watch the absolute bonkers of a world they would create!
That would be so cool, I’d love to see that
Ditto:D
And Sausage, Scar and Pearl
I can imagine how that would go lol.
Bdubs: So, this is the GRAND cathederal. It is stupendous, I say. The best and the BIGGEST without a doubt. The bestest on the server.
Fhwip: *Builds a palace that's one block taller*
Bdubs: So you have chosen WAR!
(I adore bdubs BTW, watch them both. Just the idea of a "build war" is immensely funny to me 😂,)
@@TussockyBongo57 probably skip pearl, she'd have customized an entire biome before scar's fifth death
Honestly these custom biome creations are some of my favorite videos of yours fWhip! There’s so many people building houses in yt but much fewer are transforming entire biomes at the level you are. Lovely work :)
these custom biome transformations are always so cool to watch! as for a name, i think Badlands River Delta could be a good name for it, as the delta is where all the sediment and nutrients settle at the foot of a river into the sea. keep up the good work, but don't push yourself too hard for our sakes (or even for your own) 💚💚
I think your name suggestion is really good. You got good reasoning and it makes sense.
I do wish that this biome existed in vanilla without any players doing anything, I want to live there! ❤
It would be so cool to turn the decimated desert into a Petra-like city where it looks like all the buildings were carved out of the sandstone.
Another reason for Mojang to add Terracotta slabs, stairs and walls, huh
you might want to add a little curve to the palm trees so they're hanging over the river and so that they are not all perfectly straight
I know you said in stream you were going for a more relaxed and less choppy format. I loved your videos before, don't get me wrong. But I love this. I hope it works out because I feel like I can follow the narrative and really enjoy it so much more. Plus it feels like I can see more of the time abd energy that goes into the bigger builds. For bigger builds especially I'm liking this newer style immensely.
Also happy birthday ❤
It’s always a good day for me when a hardcore episode is uploaded. And happy late birthday!
FWhip calling the diffeent areas "New World" and "Old World"
Beware the Pilgrims, fWhip!
And man, your mesa looks amazing
And your persistence for these projects never fails to amaze me
Since you've started putting axolotl in the river already, I think it would be awesome if the future desert village was built around a massive temple dedicated to axolotl and you added more to the river since axolotl are native to desert enviroments! It'd be awesome!
Either way though the Mesa is looking amazing, i love the lush river banks so much! Great job Fwhip!
I think the biome color effecting the plants adds a nice touch even if it doesnt add the best of colors. It's like even though the river shore is lush, some of the plants don't get all of the water they need, or they aren't able to handle the heat as well as some of the other plants growing
It's turns it into a lush environment that is thriving as much as it is struggling, and I love the contrast in that and the colors
Great video as usual! I would love to see you eventually build in even more biomes, it is so interesting! I also like how you showed more of the grind, very satisfying to watch. I hope you will have a lot of fun with this desert project!
I'd love to see a snowy area. Normally I'm not a big desert build person but OMG fhwip has done a beautiful job so far. The "deserts are boring" person right here may be converted! ❤
Happy trees
I mean the memberships, and the Bob Ross reference, but also fWhip makes very nice trees.
This biome transformation makes the mesa a relaxation paradise, where can I get a passport to go on a plane ride to live there?! It’s beautiful..❤
This was a really really cool video. Especially with the more relaxed editing style - felt like a proper vacation from the city! What an awesome project new papyrus is going to be
I think the trees look a little.....Off? with them being brown but all the bushes and moss around them being green, maybe adding some of the azaleas in the center of the palms and some of the oak on the ground, maybe more further from the waters edge would help? Adding some blue orchids for more blue texture as if they're just smaller version of the picture pods , AND the ferns for the Green and it'll tie it all pretty well?
That all said, now I wanna transform my own mesa biomes...Thank you for all the hard work you've put in and for sharing that work with us, I'm very excited to see what you make next!
I’m used to the idea of rivers running through desert-y areas making a system of floodplains (like the Nile river), so that would be my first instinct on what to name it. Oases, I think, are normally not in river systems, so Floodplains feels more “correct” to me. I am not an expert and this is a creative video game, so being “correct” is really more dependent on what sounds best to you, though 😂
Almost 2 years? How did the time go by so fast I remember the start as if it was yesterday. Love the progress so far.
I really enjoy the almost chocolate looking leaves, they feel like they're just recovering from a drought and the river water has just rushed back in and the trees take longer go all green (possibly bc they lose more water that way)
I don't know if anyone has ever mentioned this, but I LOVE your metal background music when you use it :) Super unique and fun to listen to in the video
Wowee I guess this is the new "meTa" of transforming the "Mesa" biome, which on the **fWhip** side looks absolutely amazing and lively to what it originally looked like! Love ur content as always and hope you'll reach 2mil subs soon too!
Also,
🎉🎉🎉***HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY TOO!!***🎉🎉🎉
New episode! Can't wait to watch it. Also happy birthday again
This looks amazing! The river now reminds me of the river near the campground where my family goes each summer, lots of good memories kayaking there. If the mesa was mountains it would look exactly like it!
Fwip I recommend using pointed dripstone for the trucks of the trees in this biome. I tend to use them for my straight warm biome trees.
you should try using jungle leaves for the palm trees, they should remain green in desert biomes
maybe you could call it the "desert oasis" biome? since an oasis is a fertile spot in a desert with water and lush plants and such, so this fits the bill perfectly ^^
happy late birthday!
16:22 "hopefully I didnt break it" "note to self, don't flick redstone on and off really quickly." Hermitcraft and GTWScar fans know this all too well LOL the biome looks AMAZING Fwhip ! Happy belated birthday !!
fWhip, you absolute madlad! This is such a tedious project and you compressed it in 38 minutes like its not much. I never really comment, but your landscaping is insane and it shows.
I love watching you build live on stream because it is so satisfying watching all the work super fast in the videos xD you've really accomplished SO MUCH!! super excited for the next stage of the hardcore world
Same
why not use the azalea or birch leaves for the trees to get rid of the biome tint as theyre both unaffected? even spruce would wok better than the brown, surely? i mean i know its too late now but was using oak despite the tint a purposeful choice or just an oversight? im confused lol
Exactly. I was really confused at how he didn’t like the brown leaves when he could’ve just used leaves that you know, aren’t brown???
this is a small thing but im very happy that you planted the sugar cane field the way you did. it's the most efficient way to plant! none of this silly grid pattern nonsense.
and a very happy birthday to you fwhip! i hope everyone and the doggos are doing great :D
Happy birthday, fWhip!
Your custom biome reminded me a lot of the Nile River. Supposedly the Nile is in a biome called “flooded savanna”. If you want to keep it in line with Minecraft’s naming convention, you could this biome the Savanna Wetland like the Savana Plateau.
Happy Late Birthday Fwhip!Hope you had a great day👍
LOVE that mesa transformation! Can't wait to see what builds you add to it!
This biome reminds me so much of Ponce Inlet and the Inlet Shores in Florida. I used to go there every year as a kid with my family. Thank you so much Fwhip for giving me a piece of my childhood joy. Happy late Birthday!
The amount of work you put into these series' and world's is honestly so inspiring and a little scary. Its always such a pleasure to watch you build and learn from it. Also happy birthday !
Happy birthday fwip! I’ve tally enjoyed the progress you’ve made and the effort you’ve put into this hardcore world, hope to see more videos in the future!!!
excited to see the transformation in all its glory! Have tried to watch the streams but haven't been able to see them all
"i'm just placing flowers, move along" killed me LOL, great video! Watching in July 2024 :D
27:06 "Just gotta be here for a little teeny tiny.... hour.... or two."
Sounds like the theme of your entire channel, fwhip 😂
You should make an Adobe city with all that orange terracotta. It would look really cool.
Happy Birthday, Fwhip!
The pitcher pod flowers really just MADE this delta come together. They look so good!!!
All during the segment of After After I can hear sirens! Lol! XD
Literally that is my life. Every day, all the time, police sirens, ambulances and fire trucks, zooming past my house!
How my fwipping god can you do al this crazy stuff? I dont have the motivation and skills for this! Happy late birthdayyyyyyy🎉❤🎁 🍬🎂 blow out your candels 🎊🕯️🕯️🕯️
wow, very impressive building skills!
Me at the start of the episode: "It would be a fun adult beverage consumption game to take a shot every time fWhip says 'Red Sand' 🍺 "
Me 10 minutes later: 💀
1. Happy Birthday
2. That biome would be called a flood plain, as it is very similar to the Nile River
Happy birthday fWhip.
I really like what you've done to remodel the river emerging from a mesa canyon onto a floodplain, it feels very natural. I've been to several places which look a lot like that.
IMO, the palm (?) trees need to be greener; Since they were able to tap into enough water to grow and thrive, I'd expect their foliage to also be more lush.
Maybe use mostly 'browner' leaves for the low bushes (especially further back from the river banks), and rely on sugar cane for green highlights in the riverside ground cover? That would free up Azalea for the trees, though again, you could transition to more biome specific colours for stunted trees (not necessarily palms) which are struggling to thrive, further back from the river?
Just my thoughts. Love your work.
Happy birthday!
It’s so fun to see you tackle these big projects and gives me a lot of inspiration for my own world. Without you showing that complete bioms can be completely changed I probably would never have been confident enough to try such a project my own.
24:38
fWhip: "I feel like all I'm doing are timelapses."
Me, who loves timelapses: 😃
The project looks amazing, but I don't know how fWhip has the patience to do all this grinding. Gotta respect his dedication.
I love your build videos, but honestly this terraforming one is one of my all time favs. Would LOVE to see some more terraforming of other biomes in the future!
Desertification is a natural process, so if you want to get 'tragic' with it, as opposed to 'lush desert', it could be a Desertifying Jungle/tropic/mesa/etc. So the river and lush parts are actually shrinking and slowly going away over time.
I love the idea of a 'Lush River Valley' for the biome? Wonderful work, fWhip! I am always so inspired after watching your videos.
Here's fWhip again creating entire biomes in one episode. It's insane, yes, but wow so beautiful!
Hi ! Loved the episode. Here's an idea : on the two hills of the mesa that are on each side of the river you could build two huge statues facing each other to greet people entering the valley by the river. Probably a big project but that usually doesnt stop you :D
you have a real talent for world building there’s so much detail in all your builds and makes me want to attempt these on my xbox it’s super cool imo thanks for the video!
The river looks amazing, but i do have a recommendation when it comes to the foliage away from the river. I would try adding sweet berry bushes to substitute as a small prickly paired cactus.
I'll give that a shot! thanks!
This is literally the best hardcore series I have ever seen. I could really care less about any other UA-camr, you are the only one I have notifications on for and I watch these videos religiously! fWhip you are the BEST!
Ive been catching up on all the episodes, and i love it. I think you should do a megacut of all your videos in this world, and make it like one of those ”i survived xx amount of days in minecraft”, and destroy all of the other creators who think 100 days is some kind of achivement.
BIOME NAME IDEA:
River Oasis.
Desert River Oasis.
Something along that line. You've definitely made an oasis of sorts. Honestly...
Beautiful build. Super excited to have found you and your channel recently.
This biome is very much like a lush delta. Love the palm trees.
I love how much time you set aside to collecting dead booshes. The important things!
Happy B-day fwip ,show your channel last year and from then I can’t stop watching your videos
New Papyrus 🥹 You’re original series will always have a special place in my heart
Amazing episode! I recently watched through all your hardcore movies while turning down for the night (and rewinding in the morning when I fell asleep haha) and I adore what you've done with this world
The mud flats along the river are literally the perfect spot for mangroves that’s what they grow in, would look so nice with some custom ones along the bank
Cool transformation! I was initially sad to see the red rum go, but the lush desert looks cool.
Happy birthday!
Wow! Seeing that beautiful lush shoreline, compared to what the biome looked like before, it’s almost hard to tell that it’s the same place at all! Incredible stuff!
Happy belated birthday fWhip! Good job on this project. It would be cool if you made the forests on top of the mesa out of azalea trees, although that is a bit unrealistic. It would be cool nonetheless!
I love the mesa build! Biome transformations are one of my favorite things to watch, and I’m excited to see you use more Red Sand (and Red Sandstone), as it’s one of my favorite blocks. Also happy late birthday!
Happy birthday FWhip! I think the biome should be called Lush Swamp River! This world is so impressive! You have done such a good job!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY FWHIP!!
the biome looks very nice as always :D
What a beautiful Minecraft world. The effort of this man deserves a million likes.
This should definitely be called the “desert oasis” biome! I am in love with everything about it so far!!
Happy late b-day fwhip! The oasis-delta type biome you made looks absolutely stunning! Can't wait to see how this part of world comes out :D
I've been terraforming a Mesa in an SMP with my friends since 1.18. It's so much work, but holy heck it's satisfying!
Happy birthday to my fav empires member. Also, just so you know, i was in the live stream about building a tower/windmill, as i mentioned the grey carpet change. Again happy birthday and keep up the amazing work.
If the Dwarves don’t have any spore blossoms... you could put a few that look hung up from the cave ceiling in an appealing and not painful looking way, and say some Elves gifted the spire blossoms to the Dwarves. Could hint at a possible other civilization in the long future for you to build. Maybe even another hint being a nearby elven village of farmers and foresters
Love this so much! Super excited for the next episode!!
Yay for new Papyrus! I used to love that city, and it's how I found your channel back in the day. River valley is looking lush! :) (And a belated happy bday!)
Happy birthday dude , i think it would be cool if you built little houses on the side that lead up to a big custom tree in the jungle with tree houses
Super cool to see the whole transformation just come together at the end. There is just one tip, to put the sporeblossoms in between the leaves so that they dont pop out as much while still keeping the effect :))
@fWhip 4:27 you put another sand in the row because u didn’t have red sand at the time and didn’t want to go looking for it, because it was “a future fwhip problem” 🤣
this is so awesome! always thought the biome was ugly never thought to fix it! cool concept great execution
If i can just say, I really really really love this new project and those two last videos!! I’m so excited to ser what you do next ! It’s so fun ❤
HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY!!
Also for the base you should totally do some kinda rickety wooden city on stilts going down the side of the mountain!
I absolutely love the way the riveredge looks
Little detailing thing for cacti i use is sometimes small amethist buds as the flowers. Witz a bit of scattering it can be a good little touch
The river looks incredible! so much inspiration!
Along the river, where the sand has created hills and cliffs, you could have some layers of coloured terra cotta peaking out. It would help connect the two areas.
