many masters like rybko ets. pretends that they teach the ancient russian martial arts. There were never russian martial arts except sambo. Our ancestors had only bare knuckles fist fights. But it was not about technics. It was only their beastly power! Only one case had been described about russian fight. At the time of Ivan the terrible one of his bodyguards had fight with simple citizen. The body guard men punched the simple guy in the breast and copper cross went inside the chest. By the contr punch in the left temple the bodyguard men had been killed.
Like many think that russian famous dance is a martial art like japanese kata. Its not martial art, its entertainment. Ancient russian dukes liked to sit behind the table eating and watch those men dancing and jumping.

Respect to master Ryabko! I think, Systema is the best unarmed martial art. Very effective, but the gun disarming looks very dangerous. The barrel of the gun always cross the space among them....
Maybe the krav maga represents more efficient gun disarming skills.

Roman Filatov ты наверно не заметил как этот невзрачный, простой человек показывал принципы работы с оружием: не показывать сопернику свои намерения, уход всем телом с линии атаки, контроль оружия, отвлечении внимания и тд. Но ты наверно умеешь работать против оружия по принципам бокса?

99% of people training these things will never encounter situations like this.
it is like training a sword fight. you will most probably not meet enemies with swords and fight for your life.
but it will help you with body control in general.

always give money when robbed at gunpoint!

I see that many make fun of him, thinking that he is one of those fake masters that had paid to the partisipants for faking the effect of his power ... But I am sure they are wrong! He has got some of his best students that can look way more impressive then he does himself, they are training police and special forces. And that proves who he really is no matter what we think about him I think he is genius and one of a kind, and very kind and humble person!
