  • Follow along as my Dad and I travel up and down the Satilla River in search of big panfish. While we did not find the famous “rooster reds” on this trip that the Satilla River is known for, we did find quite a few bluegills. This was an awesome trip. I included drone footage as well as just some good ‘ol laid back river cruising in the john boat! Hope you all enjoy! Be sure to like and subscribe for more content like this in the future! Tight lines!!!

Better watch for wasps nests in overhanging trees. Take wasp spray!

Put in east of waycross. Tried to get on some of the more shallow water but I’m not convinced they weren’t in the deeper water

To answer your question about depth, there were lots of sand bars to look out for. The river is low right now and dropping fast

I like to fish in the St Mary's and the Satilla River in Folkston Georgia I hear that the fish loves the Crawfish for bait what's your opinion

I’ve never tried that on the satilla but have heard that crawfish colors are a popular bait for the month of February and early march each year
