First time I heard this song, I Googled it and Clocks together to see if Our Last Night had been sued over it, then later on when listening to Wisemen by James Blunt, I realised that shares some similarities in the notes too. That brought about somewhat of an epiphany in that all songs are limited to the same finite chords, notes, scales etc. and realized I'm being a dick for looking at any of them as as copies rather than seeing how different they are.
That was a long way of saying that I agree with you.
