Stunning voice with such a magnificent range from low alto to soprano supreme. No music. The diction is exceptional. Every note is clear as a bell and spot on.
And remember that English is NOT Regula's native language. Nor (as I have seen suggested in comments on other of her vyoutube videos) did she go to a school where the teaching was in English.
Aside from the lovely and beautiful voice, how wonderful to be able to watch such a gifted musician and see only peace and tranquility of expression. Claudy. I think Regula is an established top coloratura soprano but I agree she needs to be recognised for what she is......just BRILLIANT. What a voice and beauty.
I doubt she will be fully accepted in the world of primadonna's. She is to good and natural, totally different from the hellish shrieking and wobbly vibrato that is the norm there.

I love one thing about this - sometimes this aria is sung by a mezzo in the first part. I just liked how she sounded really human there, maybe like a young girl, with some little imperfections, because it was a bit low for her, and then in the second part she finally had the absolute control over her beautiful voice and sounded like an angel. A really lovely performance!
Chiamaria - I don’t like making negative comparisons in principle, but I must disagree with you. I listened also to Bonney, whose rendition I also love, but Regula’s mezzo is clearly stronger, and her soprano IS angelic, and very moving. But as I said, I love both performances.
The piece was originally written in B flat *only* for soprano voice. Not sure who and why added the 1st part in F for Mezzo. Certainly it was not Haendel.

Two voices normally sing this aria from the Messiha: mezzo-soprano and soprano. It also works like that. I like Regula Mühlemann from German-speaking Switzerland very much, she sings fantastically, but two voices are provided for the original.
The choir I sing in performs Part I of Messiah every year in late November. Typically, we divide this aria into two singers; an alto and a soprano. This lady has a fantastic cadence with her voice. Bravo!

Yes, Ms. Mühlemann comes from the German speaking Switzerland, I am currently keeping her up as the best sopranos, very good language skills
