I drive one of these at work and his v isn’t right. He didn’t stage up the truck so that he can go straight into the pile, he’s not getting his bucket as straight into the pile as it should be, plus he has a dozer pushing off for him, we dig double benches and it’s completely packed in still, but we don’t have teeth on our buckets we have cutting edges. He’s not doing a bad job though, they are surprisingly easy to operate once you have about 40 hrs of seat time, and get over the fact you are driving something as big as a 2 story house
Good Loader operator. We have one of these at work as well as a 2K. 2K is Way faster but the 3 will out dig the 2 any day especially in tough digging. That is a High lift boom on that one as it has the extra hole in the lift arms above the torque tube hole. Thanks PA for posting and keep up the good work.
@@s.espi.1618 no not quite, he doesn't empty his bucket first, SECOND, he only crowdes the right side of his bucket, bad angles of digging, only reason as fast is because of a dozer pushing to him. And YES, I do this for a living.
just want to let you know that I enjoy your vids very much. Although I live in Japan now, I come from a PA coal mining family in Shamokin PA - my Grandfather , Sam Moyer, was the engineer on the Glen Burn mine. Keep up the great work!
Seasoned operator. Not taking anything away from the operator, but for the size of these machines, I think people would be shocked at how simple they are to run. The hard part is not digging into the ground and keeping it flat, as well as getting the most into the bucket as possible with as little spillage as possible. That's where this operator is impressive. Very smooth and precise.
First, this operator is good, nothing wrong with what he’s doing. Second, his trucks are exactly where he wants them. Third, if he wasn’t efficient, he wouldn’t be working. Forth and last, he’s operating, while all of you fault finders are sitting in front of a computer screen instead of in a machine.
A good operator . I notice he`s never just going through a single motion at one time , always turning / lifting/move forward/dumping retracting bucket back as he`s reversing = quick cycle times . May not look like it but the machine is going through 3 different movements at once . Kept his clearances to a minimum but didn`t touch the truck . When you do something as repetitive as loading trucks you should be good , & he is .
Plus these loader have auto life set points, and bucket lower set points. So as soon as you back out of the pile you pull the lift lever all the way back til it clicks and it goes right to a set point, and once you dump, and back up the same thing click it forward and it lowers to where you set it about 12 above the ground. Very fun to drive though all joysticks, no steering wheel. You are right though, once you do it for a couple weeks it becomes second nature, you’re doing it without even thinking
I'd be at home in anything here. Been in this same situation but never had anybody tenderizing it for me. Always root, root, root or was tenderizing it for somebody else. All paid the same. GOOD video, Pal! A-PLUS!
Couldn't watch this video long. I ran 992D, 992G, 993K and a few different 994 loaders. His cycle time is terrible, never a full bucket even with a dozer keeping the material loose, the first hauler didn't get under the loader right, most of his load was on the right side of the bucket which puts more weight on the rear of the haulers, which is the shallower part of the bed and causes the front end to get light if they have to haul up hill, lots of loose rocks laying which could cut a tire. He never done a cleanup pass on his way back to the shot. Hes working himself into a hole causing longer travel times. Work the shot from left to right so the truck is backing in somewhat of a hole and stays closer to the shot, then the loader isn't digging himself in a hole. That wouldn't fly where I worked. He would been off the loader.
This is the winning combination in this part of Appalachia....11 993 and 785s...Lotta great operators here too...seen d11s peel whole solid rock highwalls down...trunions makin sounds like tyrannosaurus Killin a bruantosuarus...blade tilted so far you'd think it'd break off from power
Question, It seems like he should have the trucks on the right hand side, that way he's lined up to the face and can get an evenly full bucket while applying maximum traction forward rather than partially turned at the time the bucket is actually in the material, I'm sure there's a reason they are doing it this way I can't see from the video.
In my experience both manufactures offer great support. We tend to have more of a problem in the States with European brands and their support network.
Nice video, he could load them a little faster each load if he set the trucks up where he could dig behind them. Turn the trucks a little more is all. I love loading in good rock with a dozer feeding it to me like that.
Wonder if this 3K is as jerky as ours is? Everything on ours is . Steering, brakes when coming out of thre impeller clutch and the trans direction changes are brutal. Our 2G and 2K are WAY smoother than our 3K. Its a horrible thing to run all day.......
Kills me when dozer man wont stop pushing to the loader like that he needs stop pushing and let the loader catch up notice how the loader is just loading the right side of his bucket and he has to travel away from his truck, he shouldnt push behind the truck it should go into his bucket and not behind the truck
A rope shovel would be quicker but sometimes speed isn't everything. Here the company wanted versatility which a loader offers. With multiple pits, a loader can move around and strip one while another is in waiting for a blast, etc.
The guy is smooth, however he keeps loading up the right side of the bucket and he hasn’t got the machine straight when digging putting immense pressure on the steering rams, if he kicked the dumper on an angle to the pile that would enable him to straighten himself out, then he would be really good👍👍
Wow these guys are good. The operator in that 993 is dang near flawless. Great vid.
This operator is a musician, I bet you a dollar. They're nailing the gig for sure. The rhythm they are keeping is very consistent.

@Emily Emily -v?
ly792-v Ok
He needs to learn how to spot trucks. other than that, good operator!
I'm driving one of these trucks lol. The loaders wasn't to old when this was taken. The good ol days in the pits.
Nice to see someone know how to load a bucket and keep cycle time up. So many of these vids show one or the other - but rarely both.
You're absoluitely right on this. Great loader operator.

This operator IS a good one....text book loading.

Not really...... Try a 777G truck, LOL LOL

Beautiful video quality and talented operators!
No wasted time there. That guy is smooth.
Dude is badass

First class vídeo! Good driver!
Awesome production! 💪👌👍💓💓💓

Great operator, truck close to material pile, short back ups with machine and knows how to control it.
Number one Caterpiller
Nice job. 3:15 avg time to exchange and load. This translates to a little over 2,000 cu yds of overburden moved per/hr.
Buen palista ,si señor.Menuda pedazo máquina .🙈😂🙋♂️🙋♂️🙋♂️
That bucket almost looks undersized for such a big rig
These are really nice machines. It amazes me how fast the systems work, to be it's size. Great operator BTW.
Pro video! And, some seriously heavy iron making the operation look easy
Wow amazing More please!!
Smooth operator....just love it...

That’s great 🇿🇼🇿🇼🇿🇼
Nice, that's one beefy loader !
Is there gonna be a documentary on the 993 and 785?
Amazing machines i wouldn,t mind having a job operating a wheel loader! Looks like fun!
Who ever drive this loader is a pro..just nice to se..

Nice clean floor,no tire spin.all looks in order.
I operated a 275 Michigan and I thought that was big till I saw this
What material is extracted from that rocky soil? Iron?
Coal...that's overburden

Great video as always. Thank you for posting it for everyone to enjoy.
beautiful machine's 785C's look great for their age. Awesome video keep em coming.

It appears that he starts loading them on the right side at the end of the video.
Some places are not allowed to blind side load really not much of a point to it in his situation could just change the angle of the truck and be fine.
Cheeeèè quin tròs de máquina!!
Awesome video!!! Would that loader be joy stick controlled or steering wheel? Looks pretty new
Lindro 889 joystick. The 988s and up have been joystick for quite awhile, id imagine you could get a steering wheel on one tho
Chase Janus you might be able to I don't know. I have ran the 992 and 994 for the last 15 years. I really like the response time of joystick.
Its a joystick and its the newest thing out.
PAMining, could you compare this on specs with something like a Komatsu? How is Cat's support?
In my experience both manufactures offer great support. We tend to have more of a problem in the States with European brands and their support network.
Great video as always can do a video on the man behind the camera that would be cool thanks
Thank you! Glad you liked it

Greetings from a small village of the north of Iran.excuse me,I wonder if someone tells me how much is the capacity of these trucks?
Great toys!
Nice video, he could load them a little faster each load if he set the trucks up where he could dig behind them. Turn the trucks a little more is all. I love loading in good rock with a dozer feeding it to me like that.

Good this thing is fast
Good operator, but spots the trucks wrong. He is actually loading at 90 degrees.
Fun and Games, Gentleman

Exteramily eficent don't think a rope line could of dun it as well
A rope shovel would be quicker but sometimes speed isn't everything. Here the company wanted versatility which a loader offers. With multiple pits, a loader can move around and strip one while another is in waiting for a blast, etc.
PAmining yea Justin it does give them flexibility to move around for a big pit thanks for the video of it

He has the truck positioned wrong should be doing a tight v pattern
Paul Peters I agree,
Its a super tight area, i am sure he has his reasons
He never does... I drive those 785 under him.....
that rocks are quite sticky ....

It's a biggon'
Nice video! Good operator, but can't help not think he still leaves some material in the bucket.

😬993👍
only monsters
put truck para el to bank so loader does not have to turn?? That's the way I load saves wear on machine
👍👍👍😊😊😊
Life 9
With a dozer pushing that loader should be a good and full loads what a waste of time
He backs up too far, get someone from Kentucky to run that loader.
an excavator could have loaded that entire truck out in half the time
Yes it could but with multiple close pits a loader was chosen as the stripping machine for mobility.
PAmining and the angle is all wrong as well
The guy is smooth, however he keeps loading up the right side of the bucket and he hasn’t got the machine straight when digging putting immense pressure on the steering rams, if he kicked the dumper on an angle to the pile that would enable him to straighten himself out, then he would be really good👍👍
I wonder if there is a reason he doesnt want the LHS of the bucket full, reduced spillage out that side perhaps, open your mind people!!
