i have the major form of this condition and have had 6-7 instances where it flared up in my mouth. the first 3 times i was not yet diagnosed and wasnt treated properly. i can say without a doubt it is the most painful thing i have ever experienced. they lasted about 6 weeks at its peak and took a further month ot two to recover before i could return to school. i recently had a flareup about this time last year and was treated with a large injection of steroids followed by 10mg tablets 1 a day for 2 weeks. the leasions would disapear within 48 hours of the injection if given within 48 hours of the first sign of leasions. im extremly thankful to you and people in your field of work. you are truely the best of humanity, i wouldnt be here without people like you
i dont know if thats useful to anyone
atleast its something to read lol

@@janicearibisala4797 it’s just steroids, I’m not 100% sure (the nhs website says methylprednisolone but that might be wrong). But they inject quite a large amount as soon as possible then give you tablets for a couple weeks

My son (14) just got diagnosed with major. I am confused being it’s not from meds or a recent infection. Mainly mouth sores inside and on lips. A non painful non itchy rash formed but that’s mainly it

@@talzawd yeah that’s about the age when mine started too, aslong as he’s diagnosed everything will be alright. It does take a month or so to recover afterwards

@@pipedgolf4634 yea but is it the same as sjs cause according to what I’m reading it’s not, but the dr said it is. None of the painful rash. Or flaking skins. Only the mouth. If it’s not then does he have to watch meds now? He wasn’t. Even on anything
