Had enough of maths prefer to duplicate your sloops instead: ua-cam.com/video/O4Rg1X_RZpo/v-deo.html
Thanks for this video; I had noticed the modeler in the steam store but didn't realize how useful it was until now.
how the heck haven't i heard of this amazing tool?? over 700hrs and this is news to me. thank you so much!
to be fair, it only came out a few weeks ago right about when 1.O was released i've used a little bit, but this provided me a much better understanding.
One thing you didn't mention in the video was setting an output value from a node.
This is very useful, as it limits how much goes to that and sends the rest to lower priority things.
Loving the visual maths buddy, mmm.
Liked n watched the whole video.
Thanks for sharing this tool. I'm using it now to plan my efforts to get rid of nuclear waste!
Awesome this is going to solve my issue with the satisfactory calculator website. I was building turbo fuel factory, and I was not able to set the calculator to use diluted package fuel resipe , now I can. Thanks for the info on this app
i had a problem w/ Encased Beams recipe where it chose the wrong alternate recipe. I had to go back into the options and DE-select the recipe it was using & Select the one i wanted & it fixed it.
you do know that if you hit N ingame you open notepad.
it works as calculator too.
makes it easy to calculate stuff as you build
Only 3 min in and this is already everything I’ve been wanting. All the other calculators are such a pain. They expect you to have all the alternate recipes or the desire to use a million different inputs to min max some obscure thing. Thanks!!
Have you tried satisfactory-calculator:vercel:app?
It’s absolutely the same thing 🙂
thats a very nice tool! Thanks for display it!
This modeler is a great tool, it's the loop back of water that gets confusing, but now you have shown how the spurgers are supposed to work it should help.
recycling water is just too unstabile. personally i just dump it into wet concrete for the sink. this way your factory run consistent and you dont have to worry about fluctuations and production having hickups.
@3:03 I think that it's more power efficient to have two constructors clocked at 56.5% (which is 1.13 divided by 2) instead of having one at 100% and one at 13%. For newer players I'll say that it's even more power efficient for more constructors clocked lower (for example 3 at 37.667%, etc.) at the cost of more space for the machines. The power efficiency gains per space used typically diminishes when machines start getting clocked lower than around 35% though.
Basically, the number shown for machines is the clock rate required of that machine, but machines can only be clocked up to 250%, and it's more power efficient to stay at or below 100% clock. So, if the picture at the machine says 7.5 you would need one machine clocked at 750% (can't be done), or 8 machines clocked at 93.75% (7.5 divided by the number of machines you're willing to build, in this case I used 8). You could also get away with only using 3 machines, because your requirement is 7.5, but you can clock machines to 2.5, so 7.5 divided by 2.5 is equal to the number of fully over-clocked machines you would need.
If the machine showed a requirement of 8 however, then that divided by 2.5 for fully overclocked machines is 3.2, which means you would need a minimum of 4 machines. Since you need that 4th machine you don't need the other 3 to be fully over-clocked. You can do 8 divided by 4 (the number of machines you're building) which gives you 2. So, your 4 machines can be clocked to 200% each (which is a power savings over having 3 at 250% and one at 50%).
OMFG THANK YOU, i've been trying to figure out how to get the numbers even there since i got to actual factories (ie, not the on the ground no foundations), and could never figure it out, and its so obvious, but it just... didn't click XD
so to make sure, say i've got the need of 20.4 machines (so.. 2040% if im doing my mental math right) i'd just divide the % by machines? so say im willing to build 25 machines (even 5x5), i'd just do 2040/25 correct? which comes out to 25 machines clocked at 81.6%? or did i miss understand?
@jjrulez1596 ... does that mean you had a problem dividing a number by another?
@technocracy90 in a sense yes... more detailed is the obvious answer i overlooked lmao
I've been using satisfactory calculator/ interactive map but when trying to figure out exactly how to use all uranium for nuclear power and converting to plutonium pellets this was insanely helpful building it out myself
Really helpful. I've been using Satisfactory Calculator and it is nice, but this is even better.
This is gorgeous! Thank you so much for the exp;sure
Awesome. I just started playing 1.0 now, so this will come in handy.
Liked and subscribed, amazing tool!
Great program. Been using it a lot lately. A bit tricky to figure out at first but once you 'get it' everything is great. In active development on Discord. Developer will hear your feedback and ideas and bug reports and new versions are released regularly.
i posted the link in discord. let see what happens. i see he did hart the link
Will it be translated into other languages soon?
@@MarkusTinnitus That's a strange question to be asking me. I'm not the developer. :P
This is amazing. Great video
Thank you my game saver appreciate for the video
Can potentially layout an entire playthrough with the modeller although anyone doing so would be wise to use the outpost option to section things off and avoid a single page becoming insanely busy
Ya know, I'm honestly curious if there is a program like that for other factory games like Satisfactory. Like Dyson Sphere Program and such this is amazing!!
I just beat the game, but this would be a cool idea for future playthroughs if I wanted to get more heavy duty with it
Thanks for this Video. This Tool is very nice and usefull :)
looks useful, going to give it a try :)
This tool just turned into Satisfactory Lite for me.
Fantastic, subscribed
This is crazy awesome!!
With this tool, building is super easy, barely inconvinience.
This tool looks amazing to start understanding the concepts and ratios. But how does it factor in belt speeds or does that not matter? Early game I want 100 screws a min, how much iron, rod, and ore to achieve the goal.
I should add, that is the type of question I would ask of the software. Given a desired output rate calculate backwards to reach that goal. But poking around in the software it’s doable by clicking around and experimenting.
Can you add shards and sloops in the mix?
I really wish Steam didn't count apps like games as far as "play" time. It totally messes up previous 2 weeks time spent in games and most played games.
I was poking around in some Steam settings recently and I'm pretty sure you can hide specific games from your play time and history. I was probably going to do it with this one for the same reason.
took me 9 pages to flush out the nuke plant....and about 35 hours.
I hate that this is apparently only available on Steam, and not as independent download.
This. Sadly. I'm not getting into steam just for this.
I googled the program name and found it available as a download for Windows/Linus/Mac on a fairly reputable looking downloady website. Looks like the exact same program. I have steam so I didn't try it myself.
Thank you.
Very cool thank you
This is a great tool
It doesn't seem to have a storage though... That's what I do. I have the ore, put it into a storage, then into the smelter, then another storage, into the next building and yet another storage container. I mostly do that, so if my power fails, then I have a buffer of some sort.
Get ahead of planned power outages! Storage mid production line is just a bandaid for a larger problem that won’t go away unless you fix it. Expand that power plant!
how did I not know about this?
It’s pretty new and hasn’t had that much attention although it’s been getting more attention lately
how can i set the output number that i want for example, 6 modular frames, so the miner adapts to that output?
Черт, я всю жизнь рисовал подобные схемы на бумаге и сам считал все показатели
Ooh!
Does this disable achievements?
No. It’s a separate application.
Young man, the ratios and stuff needed for Satisfactory that I enjoy puzzling out too, is not Maths, it's arithmetic. When I was tormented in the first year of grad school learning the foundations of my Applied Mathematics and Statistics degree... now that was Maths... and honestly it was quite beautiful each time I understood what I was learning... maybe a little Stockholm Syndrome effect, but it was glorious each time I proved for myself, e.g., that there exists an open cover for any segment of the real number line... or even why the idea of real numbers had to exist... no holes in my number line, bro!
The steam cheating software (if it's not pen and paper, it's cheating to a man like I stuck in the 20th century) does look very powerful, and it reminds me of Unreal Engine's visual programming function, which must mean it's the best way to do this type of work... Idk, AIs have ruined my desire to make my own digital content. 😮💨 I did do stuff long ago and far away like this, e.g., ua-cam.com/video/w0bnigQ17JE/v-deo.html
Ai ahh comment
@@tiell_1 Your comment is confusing on multiple levels: 1st: wtf is Ai? You mean AI? I promise you unlike the channel, _Two Minute Papers_ created by a true low functioning wingding celebrating every step of humanity's demise to machines, I don't find machines culling us all something to look forward to...
...and 2nd: did you misspell ahh, meaning "arrrr," because you're actually a pirate!?
