Had my flash for years never let me down. But the kickstand quadrant is wearing and now jams now and again. I will try to have a look when it warms up a bit.
Bought a gold flash in 1962 for £30 and it was gold with panniers. Got a mini cooper next year and my dad had the Gold Star for 30 years until he was too old to ride.
@@frankmarkovcijr5459 I did, turned out to be a a65 though, I rebuilt it through the winter, decided I wouldn't really trust the engineering, so I bought an xs650 yamaha, and a Honda hornet 🙂
@@bakeredwards I liked the XS 650. It was in production for 12 years in an age when Japanese motorcycles lasted in production for 3-5 years. It was a Japanese copy of a German motorcycle called the Hosk enlarged to 650. A quality engine rebuildable forever ♾️. Old school 🏫 design not made to be obsolete. Strong and well made. I have a rolling BSA Thunder ⚡ chassis with a spy engine. Someone took the engine apart at 6,000 miles and put it in a milk crate. 6,000 miles. My buddy who raced Ducati ✔️ the crankshaft and it was good 👍😊. How stupid they were.
My Dad had one of these, but in green. It was the machine that got me into biking
Unmistakable sound, handsome, nice mannered. 👍
She sounds so good!
Bike looks brand new!

A common problem
Yeah! best bike ever made, handles much better than my BMW r60/2.
I had a '59 model, identical but with a chair. When I can save up enough, I'd like a solo.

Stops sharp and clean when killed, no chuffing , well-sorted-A10 Dave nz
