Am I correct in thinking this bike is roughly half the current price?

RRT is racing ratios with needle-roller bearings on mainshaft only. RRT2 is same on both shafts... imho 🙏🏼 A friend in India has one with RRT2 in a similar condition !! This one seems to be running retarded as it is banging on the over-run instead of 'twittering' 😊 also imho.

Nice bike ,reckon Triumph took styling from this for Thruxton RS / Speed twin with the black engine and silver highlighted cyl head fins . Would rather not have the electric start as I think spoils the look of the iconic Triumph timing cover ,but suppose in 1981 electric starter was expected

As a old trader i predict the price these older bikes will drop 50% in the next 12mths ..just wait the old boys that used these are falling off the edge fast and the next generation doesn't want them or understand them plus they cant afford a house or shed to put it in !

Smashing little bike.

A very nice bike, lasted a lot longer than the marriage. I have heard that it is possible to buy an aftermarket starter motor that works reliably. The original part is really only useful to restart the bike if it stalls in traffic.
