We have the camp boss ones and I constantly have to pull out the centre to keep them deflating. I am very disappointed in them for $125 I wish the I check ones were around when I was in the market for them.
I have campboss. No issues. By the time I've screwed the fourth deflator onto the valve, the first one is finished deflating the tyre from 38psi down to 20psi. I then go round checking the pressures and they are all within 1 psi. Basically 5 or 6 minutes and all four tyres are done and pressure tested. The time it takes to test one tyre is immaterial if you are deflating four tyres as you are not waiting around but you are applying or removing the deflators from the other wheels and pressure testing.

Have a set of stauns... Changed to indeflate running 285/75 R16. Dumps the air quickly on 2 tyres. (I should try I time run to check). Thanks for the video those red ones look cool and I agree shouldn't get lost in the sand...

Do you rip the compressor hose off the bottom of the indeflate to get a reading for when you cannot switch the compressor on and off to see gauge reading? Cheers
@@grantricker8001 nope. The indeflate gauge shows you the pressure when you stop inflating. Check UA-cam if you can find an example. It has its own stop go valve
I had exactly the same problem with the Campboss deflators. In the end I threw them out and have Stauns. I have to say I like these new ones with pressure markings on them though.
I've got both the Staun's and the Campboss. My car also has a built in TPMS and the Stauns are 100% accurate everytime. My Campboss one's are crap. Never been close to accurate to what I set them to. Will definately give these a go.
Seems like a very common thing! These are just like the stauns but obviously few points of difference make them better in my opinion! Well worth the money
While I have different sized tyres to you, my new campboss deflaters where accurate to one to two psi. While setting them up to 15 psi, mine came in at 14 to 16 psi. I watched several UA-cam videos, and most admitted accuracy varied due to the analog style gauge setting.
Been using stauns for years but I have 2 sets - 1 set at 20 psi & the other at 15 psi but having a set that not only has accurate psi indicators as well as faster deflation, I think my old stauns will be retired to the glove box. Here’s guy’s I especially loved the spreed sheet , cool idea👍
Stauns are awesome mate we run ours all around Australia!! Sam took a good idea and made it great with the markings and the big internal spring! Sick product cheers mate
I have the Campboss but will be making a change. The they are fairly accurate but not great. What I found is that they are sensitive to temperature. I bought mine in the Melbourne winter and when I first tried them they wouldn't work at all! Then I noticed that if I warmed them up they would work. Maybe they are for tropical adventures only ;-) Warm them up and have another crack. I used them just this weekend gone when it was warmer and they were accurate to about +/-2psi. I think part of the issue with getting them accurate also is the micrometer marks are only across the barrel and there is a fair bit of room for error, where the i-check has both, replicating a proper micrometer.

Ive had my staun's for bloody years and have been dropped in mud,sand and dirt and still perform. I have just upgraded to the maxtrax dual Tyre deflater and even tho it only lets down 2 tyres at a time,it allows you to pump up 2 at a time also and it is so bloody fast. will watch these with interest.
Pity about the dodgy campboss ones, the set i have work fine. The beauty of these deflators is you pull up put them on, drive a km or two down the beach and take them off.
Great Idea. I'm not sure if I would drive with them on though. Sand in the deflators or one broken valve stem could ruin your day. easier just to wait.
I like the idea of these things if they're accurate. I have one of the manual deflators that removes the valve stem and the first one I had was faulty. It kept blowing off the valve and the valve stem disappeared into the next postcode at about 120kmh, at a guess and allowing for dramatic effect. I ended up losing about 4 valve stems as it didn't do it on all tyres so it was rather frustrating and not what you want to have happen. Kneeling on hot sand holding the tyre deflator because it might blow off really isn't fun. The dealer replaced it no worries and I carry extra valve stems and caps so it was all good in the end but if I hadn't then it could have been a real issue. Oh and the other benefit with them is they will pack into any tiny space as well.

I like my camp boss, but on the odd occasion it will randomly deflate all air out of one of my tyres. Or not going to set psi. But most the time they’re ok

My onboard inflator is also my DEflator - set the psi and leave it. Going to have to check the time though. Much faster than 3 mins, but can only do one tyre at a time. First world problems.
Just went to order a set but with freight it worked out dearer than the Staun at my local Repco , plus the Staun is brass and the others are only alloy . Click and collect the Staun , local company also .
Negative on that . The Staun are adjustable and very easy to do and it states on the unit the number of turns per PSI . The Staun are the original and made from solid brass and not lightweight alloy . Just because Staun are not sponsoring you does not make them a bad product .
No Presure on the Stauns was always and issue, needed more than one set. Icheck look a good bit of kit. Maybe just maybe you should have let Sarah test the campBoss you kow just to remove all possibility of operator error. LOL

I've attempted to buy the Campboss but they weren't accurate at all, returned and tried another set and same thing, I think only 2 of the 8 I tested were close to correct, needless to say I got a refund. I since purchased the Mean Mother deflators and they have been pretty good and also have the guage built in to set.
Weird huh, I tried everything couldn’t get it to work! Waste of time filming a race if the equipment isn’t even going to qualify to race! I was pissed haha

Hey guys, do yourselves a favour and chuck all 3 sets in the bin. You'll be eligible for your pension before you get on the beach. Get a quick deflator (the ones with the gauge & hose). They will knock a tyre down from 45psi to 12 psi un about 5-7 seconds. You can get them on Ebay for around $30. I do like to support Aussie made stuff where possible but the difference is night & day. P.S. which of you two did the sound effects for this vid?
I carry both, Use the camp boss heaps. Because you have all 4 going it is just as quick. I am also a fat bastard so don’t really like kneeling down for too long. Lol

Campboss do that, you have to pull the lever out to make them keep going, pain in the ass. They aren’t that accurate as well. I’ve rang campboss twice, they just told me to watch the video. You have to clean and spray them with crc to make them work better. Still have problems with mine 👎

Awesome timing on this review Guys👍👍👍we have been using the staun deflators, have 2 sets for many years and with our Xmas run coming up I was actually looking at the camp boss units for the simple side of measuring for the ease of lowering 8 tyres, I did look at the iCheck deflators but thought the other set tested was proven 🤔🤔🤔

If you set the stauns right they are accurate always used them!! They have only just been retired!! awesome mate! You won’t regret it
I've attempted to buy the Campboss but they weren't accurate at all, returned and tried another set and same thing, I think only 2 of the 8 I tested were close to correct, needless to say I got a refund.
I since purchased the Mean Mother deflators and they have been pretty good and also have the guage built in to set.

Yeah.. I have the Campboss deflators and have the same issue. When they do work they are totally inaccurate. Could not recommend.
Weird huh, I tried everything couldn’t get it to work! Waste of time filming a race if the equipment isn’t even going to qualify to race! I was pissed haha

probably some crap in the camp boss deflators from manufacturing, or crap in the tyre.

Hey guys, do yourselves a favour and chuck all 3 sets in the bin. You'll be eligible for your pension before you get on the beach. Get a quick deflator (the ones with the gauge & hose). They will knock a tyre down from 45psi to 12 psi un about 5-7 seconds. You can get them on Ebay for around $30. I do like to support Aussie made stuff where possible but the difference is night & day. P.S. which of you two did the sound effects for this vid?
I carry both, Use the camp boss heaps. Because you have all 4 going it is just as quick. I am also a fat bastard so don’t really like kneeling down for too long. Lol
could it be that the tires are not hot from driving this makes the air thinner
Didn’t effect any of the other deflators, shouldn’t really matter I don’t think they will be at ambient temp

Campboss do that, you have to pull the lever out to make them keep going, pain in the ass. They aren’t that accurate as well. I’ve rang campboss twice, they just told me to watch the video. You have to clean and spray them with crc to make them work better. Still have problems with mine 👎

This is expensive travel and their selling out. Everywhere they have been you can travel with a cheap 4x4 and a tent. None of this is needed to see this beautiful country.
