I’d probably let them garnish my social security if SAVE goes away because it would be the cheapest option and I don’t use credit anyway.
This has been my worry since SAVE lawsuits started and because everything gets pushed back until September it just makes it worse. We really need to have the counts to start now before the courts have a decision to reverse all that’s been done and promised by SAVE and the IDR waiver.
It’s hard to plan your life and retirement budget in my case if things are always subject to change at each administrations whim

I am at risk of homelessness if the SAVE plan gets scrapped. Tell me how me being homeless is less of a burden for taxpayers.
I have multiple direct loans (grad and undergrad) with the save plan and have been working towards PSLF. Some of my loans from undergrad have a lot more payments counted towards PSLF because I have been paying on them longer than my grad school loans. Should I consolidate in this case?
