  • Possesive pronouns in German genetive case is the topic of this lesson of free B1 German course. In lesson 5 of free B1 German course, we have started the topic of Genetive case in German language. Genetive case is one of the four German language cases. Like nominative case, accusative case and dative case, Genetive case in German language also has possessive pronouns. These possessive pronouns in German genetive case are discussed in this lesson. The ending of possessive pronouns in German genetive case depends on gender of the noun as well as the pronoun. Since pronoun can be singular like ich, du, er, sie, es or plural like wir, ihr, sie, the use of possessive pronoun is different for different pronouns. This lesson introduces possessive pronouns in German genetive case as well as it explains the concept with the help of examples.

    Im = in + dem(dative because “in” acting as dative preposition since no movement)
