How to make German Nouns | German Compound Nouns | B1 German Course | Lesson 8

Nouns in German language play a vital role in German grammar. German nouns can be formed by combining
1. German adjective with a German Noun
2. One German noun with another German Noun
3. German verb with a German Noun.
It is important to understand the way how to make German nouns. Nouns formed through this way are called Compound nouns. Like a simple noun in German language, compound nouns in German language also have a gender and an artcile.
If a compound in German language is formed by combining one German noun with another German noun, then the article of the second German noun will be taken for the article of compound German noun.
If a Noun is formed by combining a German verb with a German noun, then we have to remove the "en" of the verb and use only the stem of German verb, that will be combined directly with the noun to make a compound German noun.
