    I had mine 2012, and as long as I keep myself in gym I’m good !!! Step outside of that, weight comes back!!! But I have no regrets😊 going from 386 to my lowest was 145 ( which was way to skinny) now I’m resting at 170 and I’m cool with that!!!😊 you look good diva!!!!!!!

    I am almost 3 yrs post op and I have been in the hospital 4 times twice for small bowel obstruction once for scar tissue wrapped around my intestines and recently for super low blood sugar I thought I was having a stroke by the grace of god it wasn’t a stroke. I am traumatized from all of this and the surgery is not an easy fix you really really have to be careful with eating and drinking water water water to stay hydrated. I’m just so over the whole thing

    I’m so glad it worked out for you, I got mine in March and have had nothing but issues with it, so I had to get it reversed on the 4th. I lost over 100 pounds, but I was unable to keep anything down the entire time I had it.

    • @brittneyj87
      @brittneyj87 Рік тому

      @@tereamusic it’s possible they just don’t like to do it because it’s risky, with bypass although they cut your stomach, they leave it in there unlike VSG. The portion they cut is still producing stomach acid you need, so they had to reroute my intestines and they sewed my stomach back together.

    Hopefully you have some time to answer my questios... :) just wondering, how many times a day do you eat? I'm in month 5 and I can't help but eat like 6 times a day...
    Another question is, did you have a problem digesting protein? I still can't eat and meat bc it won't go down. Thank you!

    • @GaptoothDiva
      @GaptoothDiva  Рік тому +1

      I eat three or four times a day, most of the time. I had problems early on with digesting heavy meats and carbs. However, I'm almost three years out and now I can eat anything I want in moderation.

      @@alsoconcerningchelsea8463 I'm glad to hear that. Make sure you continue to take your meds and vitamins. I made the mistake of thinking I'll be fine as long as I was losing weight. But I learned quickly that this is a lifestyle change and not a diet (quit my meds) situation.

      I do have wine and a cocktail every once in a while. I can't drink like I used to, because I get tipsy fast. But I still indulge socially. Hope this helps because they'll tell you you can't drink anymore, but in reality you are just more sensitive to alcohol.

    @GaptoothDiva.. so you are actually able to go back to eating regular.. but in moderation when you have healed? How long did it take you to get back in the gym or walking to keep the weight off? was loose skin an issue?

      I've been walking and moving around since the day after surgery. I had to. To relieve gas and pain, walking was the only thing that helped. Now I can get in the gym and workout, but I lost most of my muscle. Loose skin on my arms stomach and thighs are an issue for me nowadays, but I have to learn to accept it vs. getting more surgery because of low self-esteem.

    Hi I'esha, I have a question for you. How did you handle dumping syndrome when you first experienced it? If you work in an office, how do you handle dumping syndrome while at work?
    Bra tip: My surgeon told me that my breast would be slightly smaller because they are just fatty cells. If your bra size goes down to a B-cup, you can buy bra's from pepper website. They are expensive, but I see great reviews.

    • @GaptoothDiva
      @GaptoothDiva  Рік тому +1

      I was dumping a lot more in the beginning, because I was cheating and sneaking in sweets like cake and cookies. But once I recognized what would make me dump often, I started to wean myself off of that stuff. Like I still like sweets but I only eat them when I'm close to the bathroom at home, because I have issues dumping anywhere else. LOL
