  • Petit Jean State Park is a natural and historic treasure. The natural beauty and ancient geology of the legendary Petit Jean Mountain inspired the creation of Arkansas’s first state park.
Hiking trails lead through forests and meadows, over canyons, and along streams and the mountainside. See where nature formed sheer bluffs, the spectacular 95-foot Cedar Falls, Seven Hollows, and such distinctive features as Bear Cave, the Grotto, Natural Bridge, and other formations like carpet rocks and turtle rocks.

I currently live in Colorado but from Arkansas. Arkansas really is a hidden gem (as green as it is, it should be called the emerald state)....lol

Went there a couple times back in the 80's. Almost forgot how beautiful the place is. Happy trails.

How beautiful I’m definitely going there my next day off with my kids. Did you guys head bear spray, and how far is it how many miles round-trip to the bear caves

We did not take bear spray. I don’t believe there are actually bears there… but there are bears in Arkansas. The trailhead is just off the road and the trail is not long. I hope that helps! It is really beautiful and would definitely be fun for kids!

Very beautiful !!! When I was younger I moved to northern Arkansas and loved being in the Ozarks but I never made it to Petit Jean. Looks like a must do. People used to ask me why I came back. Well, I had a future wife waiting on me, I just didn't know it. No regrets, but we have to go here. Y'all did a great job of showing it. Have you seen the missing hikers on the news lately ? Sound like that could have been Craig if you hadn't been there to keep him on the trail. LOL

I am from Arkansas, but never made it to Petit Jean. But we are heading back next week for a visit. The music you added is wonderful! It makes the video all the better. Who are the artists?

Nice video. Is all the footage in video all from the 2 mile cedar falls trail?
