I just put a light weight cotton material over the area I'm pressing to prevent anything getting onto my item. But I haven't done that much heat pressing so I'm no expert! Thanks for this review! I need a smaller option than my big Cricut heat press.
My mini heat press arrived this week and I just used it. It was so easy for my small project...much easier than using my large Cricut press for small projects. It worked perfectly. I used your link plus your 20% coupon and so it made it so affordable--less than $25. When I unpacked it, I almost missed the 3 small craft mat pieces that were included in the bottom of the semi-hard plastic packaging inside the box! They were folded up and stored in the underside of that semi-hard plastic form!! I didn't see you unpack those in your video. When you did your video, you had some trouble with transferring extra pieces onto your press. When I tried it this morning, I put one of those craft mats under my project, and then one on top of my vinyl pieces and pressed for 30 seconds. It transferred perfectly with nothing getting on my press or the rest of my project material. When I have used my large Cricut, I put either old T-shirt material or parchment paper on top of my vinyl before pressing to protect my project material. Now that I know my craft mats will work, I'll just use those!!
You could use a pressing sheet so that your press/iron never touches the surface of what you’re adhering the design to. Also, maybe don’t wiggle the press/iron?
Thanks for this demo. I have been eyeing the mini easy press for a long time. This is a great alternative.
You are so welcome!
Great to see you! Hope your son is adjusting ❤️
Thank you, he is doing amazing! I am in aww really.
You can use parchment paper over it or expressions vinyl sells a heat transfer cover sheet. So glad you are back!
Thank you! I will try that next time. Glad to be back :)
Great information, I was curious about about the HPV, and now I have more information! Jess it was great to see a video from you!
Glad it was helpful! I am slowly working my way back. It will take some time, but I am getting there :)
