When I showed this song to my cousin who’s a 2 tour Iraq war veteran, he started sobbing at the line “still I’d lay down my life for you”; literally. A man that has seen it all, and all I see in his eyes are ‘wtf was this shit even for?’ And then I started crying too. Really sad, but a good bonding moment. I hope people actually realize this is a soldier’s mind when they go to war. They do it for us, even if they don’t know why they are doing it, even if there is no justice. That is the Soldier’s Poem. I have respect to all veterans of all nationalities. Whether you were on what I would see as ‘the right side or the wrong side’, I believe all soldiers have the intentions to make life better for their family and friends. And for that, I salute you.
Probably the most underrated song ever yet one of my top favs. It made me happy like a leprechaun and a pot of gold when this special one made an appearance at Wembley last month.

This is just amazing. The backing vocals, Matt singing, every fan in the stadium. Gives me goosebumps. This song is just breathtaking, stunning, beautiful.
Had this tune on my MP3 player when I was a young kid, along with the rest of Black Holes and Revelations. Whenever it came on I'd skip it - I couldn't get enough of Assassain, Starlight, Supermassive Black Hole, Knights of Cydonia etc... but as soon as I heard that slow drum beat and arpeggios I'd get bored. Nearly 20 years later I gave it a listen and completely fell in love with it. Amazing song
There are no jokes, I was actually the Millionth viewer of this video. I've been watching this entire since I'm really young and it always inspired me through my life and my musical education. It was the last official Muse Haarp video without the million and I always thought I had to be the Millionth for the symbol. So glad
I know that perfection does not exist... but when I listen to MUSE.. It is like everything unperfect just disappear and muse is the only thing on this world, what really matters.
One of their best performances of this song. The music is beautiful, and Matt's lead vocals and Chris's backing vocals are so hypnotizing they bring chills down my spine.
Love how Dom always says Wembley in three syllables: "How ya doin,' Wem-beh-lay!?!" "Thank you very much, Wem-beh-lay!" "How's it goin', Wem-beh-lay?!?" I love his electric green trousers, too! :P
Lyrics: Throw it all away Lets lose ourselves Cause there's no one left for us to blame Its a shame we're all dying And do you think you deserve your freedom How could you send us all far away from home When you know damn well that this is all I would still lay down my life for you And do you think you deserve your freedom No I don't think you do There's no justice in the world There's no justice in the world And there never was
I think it looked better this year because it was actually dark by the time they played it, so all the lights looked especially beautiful. Still an absolutely gorgeous performance though, no doubt about that :)
I don't know if I'm too late or not. I went through an abusive relationship over a year ago, and whenever I really feel like hurting myself or ending my life, I usually listen to this song
It was October 2009, I finally had this DVD I think it was during this song, I suddenly realised how much I had enjoyed myself watching it, how amazing these songs were. This was the moment Muse became my favourite band of all time
Three things i DEMAND from this poor life..: 1) find a nice guy, 2) go to college and have a good career & see MY MYSE live at Wembley stadium.. (MUST)..they are just too good to be true..
Morgan ripping up on the glocks! It just shows how much muse put into their live shows. Any other band or artist would never think of playing the piano live let alone a glockenspiel!
The first time i heard of muse was when i was looking for a certain GH3 song. Some1 said its called knights of cydonia. they were wrong but since then muse has been a part of my daily life and make me emotional. :')
So much emotion built into this song, never fails to make my heart beat a little faster >< Matt writes with such meaningful lyrics, first time I heard this it brought a tear to my eye :'(

...
That is definitely one of the lyrics
Dude the lyric of the song was so deep

"This next song is for all unsung heroes" That's what he said in the beginning, right?
By "he" I mean Matt btw, if you thought I ment Dom. If not, what did he say then?
Matt said that about the unsung heroes. Dom said about swinging the mobiles about in the air. :)
***** don't forget, you have to swing them around like -thisssss-
:D
This next song is for all our unsung heroes.
Chris's vocals in this one...
Yes, they are so amazing!
Chris’s vocals in ANY song 😍
They are angle like
Confirm, is a god
Very touching song... When I hear this song I close my eyes and let my mind fly.

Best song from absolution
Um. What?
It's not from absolution
Eduardo Garcia Soldiers Poem is on Absolution according to Matt.
it's on BHAR but Matt wrote it for absolution
It's from Black Holes and Revelations
This song, i been hearing it daily in morning as i wake up for years now, *its like it was made for me-it is made for me.*

This song was way ahead of its time, matt was always 1 step ahead of society, if only everyone else knew this
I know that perfection does not exist... but when I listen to MUSE.. It is like everything unperfect just disappear and muse is the only thing on this world, what really matters.
I just watched a video from BBC of a live radio Chris' vocals are far more forward. He really shines!
One of their best performances of this song. The music is beautiful, and Matt's lead vocals and Chris's backing vocals are so hypnotizing they bring chills down my spine.
absolutely gorgeous song.
my favorite absolution song
“This next song is for all our unsung heroes”
We need this band to stabilize the cancerous world of music now
true that. But their latest work are kinda morphing into them.
Love how Dom always says Wembley in three syllables:
"How ya doin,' Wem-beh-lay!?!"
"Thank you very much, Wem-beh-lay!"
"How's it goin', Wem-beh-lay?!?"
I love his electric green trousers, too! :P
these 3 men are the definition of talent and beauty!
it is truly a masterpiece❤
this is a truly masterpiece, should be in a music history somewhere between Lennon's Imagine and SOAD's BYOB
Surprisingly one of my favourite Muse songs. I'm going to sing this to my children for their bedtime lullaby. Hehe
This song is so sad and beautiful.
Wonderfull! THANK YOU! MATT,CHRIS, DOMINIC KING!
This song deserves millions of views like the other muse Wembley videos! This is amazing!! :D :D
Probably my favorite acoustic song from muse
You know what's an injustice... How short this masterpiece is.
MUSE!!!
I don't travel much... But when I do... MUSE, lol.
Feels like yesterday.
I cannot express my love for these angels in words. And his voice is like a balm for my soul.
Aww, I love the close-up of Dom in the end
My grandad. Eighth Army. Dunkirk. El Alamein. Monte Cassino. Greece. Always remembered.
Best song on the album NGL
I always love this song so much, it's beautiful & meaningful. and they're amazing live.
Respect to all who died for democracy and freedom, and those who protected their home and country
Shame to those who lied and sent men and women into pure hell for nothing. Sham wars of aggression that tore countries, minds, bodies and souls apart.
muse became part of my life..isn't it sick?
They're part of mine as well😊
SO TOUCHING , BEAUTIFUL SONG
The best😢😢😢
Lyrics:
Throw it all away
Lets lose ourselves
Cause there's no one left for us to blame
Its a shame we're all dying
And do you think you deserve your freedom
How could you send us all far away from home

I hear some of Ave Maria in this song.
Indeed. Go catch.
Now they have one Ave Maria
i love the harmony between Chris and Matt..Beautiful! Amazing song!
I see Muse as a little bit like Marmite, but with Muse it's: You either love them, or haven't heard of them.
Your music kept me sane when others left me in tears.
Big hugs in all honesty my friends.
Luv ya guys :D
If and when we meet a hug is in order.
+Alison Sumner Yeah. same.
I don't know if I'm too late or not. I went through an abusive relationship over a year ago, and whenever I really feel like hurting myself or ending my life, I usually listen to this song
