Can you please tell me what qualifications I need to have for barrel racing? I’m super interested in barrel racing and wanna do it in the near future..
Is there a certain age that is too old? I’m almost 17. Also, my horse is 13.2 hands currently (he’s almost 2 and a half), wound he be too small?
    Thanks!!!

That ground is trash. A lot of the horses had issues finding their feet in the first and second barrel; not their fault that ground is garbage. Too much clay to be watered like that, it’s probably hard and slick underneath still. Thanks for posting the video. Long time trainer getting back into horses again after life steered me differently for a little bit.

I would think all arenas have their own soil conditions that competitors need to pay attention to and compensate accordingly.

@ some arenas still just have trash ground. The riders do have to pay attention to it, but not all horses can handle crappy ground. That’s the reality of rodeo. Some arenas just have much better ground than others.
