Bro, with that MPH u are no where NEAR 920 whp ur dreaming! That blower sucks anyway and always has on this platform which is why the 3.0 is making gobs more power. The parasitic loss with that setup is comical.
@@MoparInsiders I would normally think heat soak but idn. Do u have an FI Interchiller? If not u need to get one. Steer clear of the KC killer chiller its junk and will leak. The FI is out of Australia and works incredibly! That blower needs to be spun REALLY hard to make it work right. Consider selling that and getting the 3.0.
@My Pronoun is WTF it’s not about smoking the tires , the 1/2 shift in the zfhp90 are the two steepest gears , leaving in 2nd allows you to actually launch harder. Ain’t my first rodeo (hence my drag videos )
@My Pronoun is WTF well if yours is stock you’ll know leaving from idle is also the best way on cutting better 60s , the 8speed aka zf hp90 is in all hellcats , demons , superstocks , redeye/demon/superstocks all have the same 2350 converter and optional 3.09 gear. (You can change your effective gear ratio via tire size fyi) ideal for a stockish with 2.62 is the 305/45/17 makes the efficient ratio more like 2.9 , like said late model hemis my kinda deal seeing that I have one of the fastest 392s with back to back proven drag slips , But hey don’t take my word for it just check my ig or my channel.
I think going to a taller tire on the back would be beneficial for sure, with this tire size I might try to give it a second gear start to eliminate a shift. The car had 2.62s stock but the previous owner swapped it out for a 3.09 gear. Currently I’m running a 305/45/17 ET Street R, it came with 28/10/17 Hoosiers but they’re cooked. I didn’t say it in the video but the car has been 9.79 at 143 with the previous owner which is why I alluded to the trap speed being off by 10 MPH. That said there are a few issues with the car I have to resolve to get it dialed back in.
@@MoparInsiders with the 3.09 and this tires is making it more like a 3.14 , these zf transmissions really like being more close to 3.00 , with that said 315/50/17 or 29.5x10.5x17 (Hoosier dbr ) work very well
I wanted to do the 315/50s but they were on back order, that’s my plan for when these are cooked though. Although we might go the 15 inch rear conversion route.
I was running high 10's over a decade ago in my 04 whipple cobra and it only made around 670 to the wheels. I would think this car would be running mid 9's or so with good tires. Did you get this figured out? Seems crazy to have 100k into a car and run mid 10's
Probably somewhere in the 750 range is my guess. The car was way down on MPH. I have ran it since then, still need to get the video up but it went 140 MPH and I dynoed it a few days after at 853whp.
4.5 litter Whipple.... you should be making more power....you might want to fire your tuner, that's you😢.... I know my redeye with the factory ported blower, 10% lower pulley and upper with a conservative tune on 93 will make 920whp.... Try tuning the transmission also and perhaps you are getting heat soaked knowing my car has a chiller system

I agree it’s not making anywhere near what it was making before. Trap speed is also off by 10 mph, gotta figure out a few issues.

100% its crazy that this car isn't even beating a stock demons time but has a massive 4.5 whipple, what gives?

Yeah I could go back to a 2.62 rear gear or put a taller tire on the back and see if that helps. Will likely go the taller tire route.

Lol I’m not the tuner. It will be getting a re tune very shortly as soon as a few other issues are sorted out.

It’s was low 30s, not hot enough to slow it down as much as it was. I’m 99% sure I know what’s going on though
