First one of these that I have watched. I like Jimmy in the show but I really like Jefferson White. Great sense of humor. Good with facial expressions.
Far as I remember Laramie hasn’t been branded so she got a free pass back to the bunk house after the fight. Watching Teeter hug Rip after she got her spot back def was the highlight of the episode.
In an interview w/ Jennifer Landon, who plays Teeter. She said that it was super awkward to do the hugging scene w/ Rip because he's on a horse, and all she could really hug was his leg. I think that was great optics. Real life hugs, when they are truly spontaneous like that, are never neat. They are awkward and ungainly, esp. when it's someone you normally would not hug.
John got rid of all the girls in the bunkhouse. We all watched Teeter ask for her job back and the only reason she is still there is because of the brand ! So I ask, why is Laramie back in the bunkhouse ?
I love how Jimmy is turning in2 a real cowboy, at start he knew nothing not even how 2 ride a horse and now knows nearly everything about it, 1 thing I hated was how Mia tried 2 change Jimmy and this new girl Emily might even help him unlock his inner cowboy. I liked how Teeter made her case why she should be in bunkhouse and John knows he won’t break his word once he has given it by branding som1 plus u see Teeters face light up once rip told her to put her gear back in bunkhouse it just means everything 2 her
I just want to know why Mia and blonde girl were back when they were told to not come back? Mia packed her stuff and left as far as I knew after the stabbing by Lloyd
The candor with these conversations between you guys is so refreshing and revealing. The look of absolute grossness/horror on Jeff's ("Jimmy's) face as he was jacking off that horse was as genuine as it gets! Personally, I've never witnessed anything like that before, although I've heard about it. From time to time as I watch each episode, I wonder how much of the dialogue and interaction between you guys is scripted versus ad-lib.
While I never did the collection thing back in the day it was live breeding in real time. Gross never entering into the equation because pushing, pulling, holding and otherwise trying to control 2 giant (and very expensive) animals who are totally "distracted" while trying to not get yourself kicked into next Sunday is scary AF.
Teeter should not have been lumped in with Mia and Laramie. Even though she did it quietly, she called out John as to whether the ‘Brand’ really does mean what it is touted to be. Glad she is back although I think she will be toned down for awhile until she is comfortable again. BTW, what was Laramie doing back in the bunkhouse when Lloyd brings Walker the replacement guitar?
I like the parallels between Rip and Jamie, both outsiders who lost their mother due to murder by their father and then being raised by a father who lost his wife. Rip is the outsider and yet is the most dedicated and Jamie is the "adopted son" with a divided mind. To Rip dedication to John is unquestionable, but Jamie finds that same level of dedication difficult because he loves himself more. Rip has always believed that nobody deserves anything and Jamie feels entitled. So in the end I think these two must do battle and Rip should kill him. This in turn will bring Beth full satisfaction forever solidifying her bond with Rip.

Putting your hands in disgusting places is a big part of farming and ranching. I grew up on a dairy farm and saw many, many graphic images growing up. It was just part of the gig. Luckily, it was Dad and the older brothers mostly doing it, but I had to pitch in too.

Jimmy's first girlfriend was Avery, the Indian girl who RIP hired to work some horses. Jimmy and Avery went to a bar and were talking about what they had in common (no living family members). Another cowboy walked up to Avery and asked her to dance. She turns him down flat. He ends up beating the S### out of Jimmy. When Avery and Jimmy got back to the Ranch, Lloyd helped him clean up and Rip formed a plan to get back at the bar owner for not calling him when Jimmy got beaten up. After that, Avery was only seen in an episode of the first part of Season 5 (I think), when a bunch of horses were stolen from the Broken Rock Reservation. At that time, she said she had loved Kayce at first sight when he came with Mo to get the horses back. Kayce turned her down, and said he was in love with (and married to) Monica. Last time Avery was seen on Yellowstone series.
Does Jefferson White have some dirt on Taylor Sheridan?… That’s the only possible reason that I can think of why they still keep giving Jimmy so much screen time.
