If TPAB hadn't come out, this would've been ranked a 10 on most people's lists. They were just shy to rate it as high as that album when it's obviously one of the most ground breaking rap albums of all time. Probably my favorite East Coast hip hop album

"This Life" is my favorite track from Denzel. I was really stratified and did not expect this from Curry. Really dope project.

The thing with a laced Odyssey, it's one of thoses projects you don't think much of at first but after repeatedly listening to it you realize how good it really is. It's is defo better than D.R.U.G.S. but better off dead is still their best work

I definitely dug Curry's flow on the XXL Freshman Class video. He stood apart from all the others. This EP is definitely what I expected from Curry. Excellent review!

What do you think of the re-released version of the album? I think that the changes he made improve the album overall. (Moving This Life from 9 to 7, replacing Narcotics with Me Now, and replacing Pure Enough with Good Night)
I was a bit iffy with this at first but damn. He's not just rapping fast and aggresive but he's actually saying something. Got this and Kendrick on repeat.
I really like this album
I'd actually go a bit lower. I think Curry has a lot of talent and potential, I enjoy his aggressive and relentless style, but he really needs to switch up his flow and delivery more often. 7/10

Yeah agree, this album is easily a 8. I wouldn't say it's any higher, he doesn't do anything super ambitious, but that's not a bad thing.
Ehh it was ok. For whatever reason a lot of modern hip hop artists don't do much for me. There are probably 2-3 tracks on this that I'd go back and listen to and they go way hard. But other than that, it is very repetitive and some of the hooks are pretty unbearable. I guess I've just been listening to hip hop too long. It's like I've seen and heard all of this before, it's nothing special. With that said, I appreciate this mixtape's approach. None of that bubble gum pandering nonsense. I'd give it a 6 or 7/10. I can definitely see why younger teenaged audiences and people who are new to hip hop are enjoying it. It's a break from the monotony of mainstream hip hop.

Brian Newlin I listen to pretty much every genre of music. Rock, Jazz, Soul, R&B, Classical, avant garde, etc. It's just that Hip Hop has stagnated creatively in my opinion. Not many modern hip hop artists do anything that sticks out in my opinion.

i fucking loved this mixtape every song was great
Narcotics and Sick & Tired are the hardest songs on the album to me. Next album I hope he narrows a very solid album that isn't more than like 13. Like I really wanna hear some extremely well crafted and well produced songs on the next one.
