Hi Colin, we've jumped over here after Barnabas Junction gave your channel a shout-out. We've subscribed and look forward to checking out some more of your videos over the weekend 🙂👍
Well all that tree making must certainly be keeping you out of mischief Colin, let alone all the scenic construction. From the description of your plans that is going to look awesome when completed - its looking tidy now though! Regards Steve
Hi Steve I'm really enjoying doing all the different bits to modelling. I have watched your last video bur I do need to leave a comment. Have a good week. Colin
Hi Colin! An enjoyable update! Must go out and get a can of Pringles - purely for modelling purposes of course! I think you may have got a bit too excited about that water drop! Lol! All the best, Ian.
Hi Colin, This is becoming a spectacular scene so well done lets hope the water dripping down does not fuse the locos when its blown by two trains passing!!! you must be iching to get some more track over the bridge and beyond the tunnel so you can run a train through and over them that will be something to see. Cheers Robert.
Hi Robert I'm differently inching, there's so much to do, and so starting a big job which is going to pay for my plan's but also it's going to take a lot of my time away from the layout. I've been running my first simulated train round the down line of America on itrains which is been a great learning curve. Colin
How strange we've both been doing bridges / tunnels. It'll be a fantastic scene with trains coming out of the tunnel onto the wooden bridge, some great camera angles up for grabs there. I do see what you mean about the size of the 'rocks' inside the tunnel. May I suggest paling it up similar to the portals, yes lots of dirt, but there would be a lot of salt leaching out of the stones, so lots of white, cream streaking, but lots of dirt around the bottom but streaking from the top too with the white. Just saw its glued, oh well lol, still food for thought, could be done with a tooth brush maybe? For N gauge ballast I use play sand / kiln dried sand works very well
Hi John I my do the white and cream marks on the lower tunnels on the Japan layout. I remember you saying before about the sand for ballast. Hope your well. Colin
Hi Colin. The tunnel looks great. I don't think I've seen the technique you used for the interior before (from a distance, the ballast doesn't look too big). Yes, stalactite is the correct name for the mineral deposits.
Hello Colin I hope your well Great work with the tunnel looks really good and will be a great camera angle as the trains exit onto the trestle bridge. Excellent work mate.
Hi Deano I'm very well thank you, I was getting worried you wasn't on hotdogs live today, I was going to email you, but I can ask know hope you are ok. Thank you for your kind comment. Colin
