LIVE MATCH FISHING - Springvale Fishing Lakes - Duchess Lake - JMAC - 5.6.21

The superb Springvale Fishing Lakes was the venue for this weeks JMAC battle. Only one problem, the carp had been spawning and the silvers were full after the annual natural feast. No surprise the weights were down in this match as they were in the few days prior. Next few weeks the recovering fish will start feeding properly and the weights will increase as the silvers return to feeding on the anglers bait. Still a very competitive match though even if weights were down.

Im off to this place next week. Im thinking of going on the method feeder and pellet waggler. Any tips or preference of lake.

All lakes are full of fish so no real preference although I quite like First Spring when pleasure fishing there. Method and Waggler will both catch. Top 2 + Top Kit catches well especially when pleasure fishing.

Hi Adam, see the comments on this thread from the regulars. Maggot and caster for IDE. Pellet feeder or Bomb and margins with Corn, Dead reds or pellets later on. See also the other films I have done at Springvale 👍🎣👏 Good luck 🤞

Got a match on Newcastle never seen the place what's the tactics.....any help would be appreciated

Only fished Newcastle once. Fished a match on a cold October day and I was 2nd in the section with 37lb ish on Pellet method feeder and pellet on the pole lines. All small carp. Our section was won with 42lb of small carp caught on sweet corn mostly from the margins.

Well done mate but you dont need to fish that far out for ide the last two times iv been iv had over 100lb of ide at 6m but you need like 8 pints of maggots

I always catch best on a 4x12 rig with spread shot and catch through water but its one of them venues you have to fish for one or other or your not gunna get a big weight

Silvers had been eating the carp spawn eggs so weren’t really interested, I did feed 2 pints at top 2 + 2 but I would catch 2 or 3 fish and then they were gone. I kept rotating to keep fish coming. Thanks for the info though. 8 pints 👍👏

@@adamn9660 all the lakes you catch really well short on ide i fish a 4x12 rig on dec through the water and set a couple of shallow rigs up you need 6 to 8 pints on maggot and i ping 4mm pellets at 13m and fish a 8mm on hook dec and shallow
