The xj has a decent low range transfer case and a lsd does pretty good for basis trails for stuff like in this video (except maybe the rocks). I have a '96 that I daily drive and take up some gravel roads and some minor trails up in the mountains, and it handles it pretty well. It does like to get warm going at slow speeds, but that's just typical xj fasion.
just got a jeep xj and like some guy said jeep stands for just empty every pocket and I believe it now after owning one going do what u did and call it quits xd
Na. If you have the 4.0 theres no real worries. Every dollar is well spent. One problem is people think you can just lift it and go. But really you need to fortify things like steering, track bar, skip yolk. But when everything is done right, it's a beast. But you always gotta know what your truck is capable of and not. Don't expect to abuse it and not have to fix things.
The way the Cherokee XJ tackles those challenges makes me want to hit the trails with one immediately.

I'm glad you pointed I couldn't tell the difference between the two Chevys they look so similar
Your hilarious 😂 thanks an awesome side x side!
Love the vice grip garage references
Nice thing about an XJ is you can beat the crap out of it and not care -- and they just come up for more! Lots of good clean (dirty) fun!
Until you realise that they are beginning to skyrocket in value and you wrecked yours 😂
Wish I had some moderate trails around here to check out…
Nice SXS
Where ya at in Missouri? I'm west of Springfield. Always looking for someone to do Jeep shit with.
Is that the current river?

You Jeep is over 20 years old and is probably poorly maintained. Parts wear out. You gotta spend some money!
Cut the back off and make it a truck
Save some weight!
