I like how Amelia started off as a genuine character and has slowly morphed into a proxy for Johnny's simmering discontent with the group's questionable values. 😂

Mutated by the energy's of Hell, Gary grows to larger than orc size and starts out to take vengeance on Fizz
Gary riding Cisco the dinosaur at the head of a thousands strong gnoll army. That sounds like a damned good season finale to me. Lol

The natural light makes it somewhat look like Johnny resides on a different plane of existence.^^
And the 100% role playing, 0% dice randomness, was actually pretty nice btw.💜

Looked more like 80% role playing, 50% deliberately getting on the DM's wick, from where I was watching (that Venn diagram has a 30% cross-over)
Bless you Johnny. As a fellow perpetual DM, I feel you pain, your unacknowledged creativity, and your commitment. Also, holy hell - props to your on-the-fly RP. I was inspired by your handling of the Oxventurers, but this is next level improv.

Somehow, Johnny manages to fit digital piracy into a medieval fantasy world.
I feel like a level up was needed when they left hell. The party know they are useless in combat and could barely hit Gary they squirrel so they're playing on their neutrality to not want to follow the natural quest line. It's still a great watch and Johnny as always is a clever and agile GM, avoiding any obvious railroading whilst trying to move things along, but it's coming across as hard work for him and the guys need to give him more back. Can't help but feel the oxventurers would be making meat grinder traps and preparing for the gnoll invasion by now.
We've saved you. From a hellish army intent on murdering everyone. Yes we did bring we them here. No we haven't actually done anything about it. But we all ganged up on a squirrel called Gary. THANK US!"

I'm not even sure, if this is still role-playing with a bit of derailment or if it's downright uncooperative and disrespectful jerkiness towards Johnny. I mean it is in-character... But still It's getting hard to watch Johnny suffering headache after headache...
But well, at least, he has now addressed the issue.
Yeah, the party is so self centered (or utterly clueless in case of Tim) that it can be downright painful to listen, especially Morbos.
Not to knock on Johnny (he gets plenty with this lot) but the attitudes of the PCs are fairly up front. His expectations and set up don't play to their nature. Sure they're asshats but what good does a tug of war do?
Alex Meehan is so, so good at RP. Like, incredible character delivery, and amazing interaction with the game, the gm and the other players.

@@nowhereman6360 I thought the edit after that was Johnny telling them they needed to move the story along, but there are multiple moments later on where he does exactly that. It's entertaining, but I felt more sorry for him that usual this time.

It's not even that fun to watch any more. They've leaned into "comedic chaotic dicks" too far, and the story has just become a thin background to antics.
Yeah, I agree. Sadly, the Oxventurers don't fare any better. I hope Johnny can play some more decent D&D when the BreakQuest Club returns.
@@alexanderslowikow9131 True. Poor Johnny. There's always that player who likes to be the centre of attention. Andy from OX and, in this case Wheels. I love spontaneous antics but damn, let the GM tell the story he crafted! This was my first DB DnD episode in a while and I'm a bit bugged to be honest. After Andy usurped the bratty king within 40 minutes, derailing everything, my expectations are low for this Friday as well.
What's more frustrating is that team EG has the best team synergy, but they're adamant about not streaming because their costumes aren't available. :-\
@@Ninzumecha Here it's worse than being derailed. These guys don't care about the story at all. It's all about the antics. It means lack of respect towards the GM and his effort. I don't find _that_ entertaining. Everyone should be having fun, including Johnny. Fun stops being fun when it's an obligation.
@@thegreatpineapple4425 in all fairness the derailment of the king was pretty unintentional, and he was genuinely just doing what quite a few players would probably have done. Fortunately johnny is wonderful at coming up with stuff on the fly

Every time I see either Dungeonbreaker or Oxventure, I just think, "Johnny's at the Wheel. Tell me how good does it feel."
Hopefully the walking statues of Waterdeep and the Xanathar can help against the gnolls. You know, because this lots not. :)

And why? They're jerkasses and she returned to them like a PC bound by the social contract. Johnny's made her the voice of reason but it's pretty clear that the party isn't listening.
@@MorinehtarTheBlue She finds herself saddled with a sense of responsibility to and for this party, having literally gone through Hell and back with them. And that was a result of her quest, as well. She's the reason they were sent to Hell to begin with, therefore she's the reason Yee now has the ability to open portals and invade other dimensions. She could continue without the party, but she still bears responsibility to warn the people of this realm about the threat she's unleashed.

Or maybe the DM should consider a chaotic neutral character might not give a rats ass about saving a town in realm they are not from without any actual incentive

Im sorry to say this but Micheal overpowering every attempt to get a decent campaign going and pretty much cutting of Alex every time she does something is getting on my nerves. I know i just should stop watching if i dont enjoy it anymore but i think its such a shame and i get the feeling a bunch of whatchers feel this way...
