THERE IS NO SUCH THING. Maybe in the Beta, but in actual Canon there is no such thing as "War Refit" or "War Variation" to the Galaxy Class, what you get is at best temporarily bolted on Phaser Strips and literally half empty ships (as in half the non-load bearing walls/rooms/decks are not yet installed) to be finished after the war.
Actually there is, though not exactly... We see a refit version in Star Trek Generations, and in DS9, the various sneak peaks we get at the Galaxy Class shows internally, it's quite different... That = Refit of some type... Pre- Dominion War however... Also you read his comment wrong... It's Post Dominion War, pause Variant, NOT WAR VARIANT Pause...

You did see that this is "Part One" right? SO next time, before trying to give me lessons on "their due," you should probably watch all the videos, or at least read the title LOL
Somewhat right, but incomplete. I'd say "undetected design insufficiencies" made them (specifically, their power cores) significantly vulnerable to attacks from disproportionately less-powerful sources. Perhaps more accurate to say defensive systems weren't up to protecting the power cored full of highly volatile fuel) Yamato - basically, a computer virus caused enough operation & control problems until it caused some fatal error (matter/antimatter reaction containment, wasn't it?). Enterprise - security insufficiency (undetected transmission of sensitive information to hostile party), contributing to the still-unlikely scenario that a couple of hits from decommissioned & outmoded (and much smaller) Bird of Prey, caused irreversible damage to anti-matter containment. Odyssey - took some hits from several tough, maneuverable, but significantly smaller ships (think torpedo boats attacking a destroyer). Withdrawing in good order with assorted damaged systems. Unable to repel a suicide ram attack by one of the enemy ships, they took a hit in/near their reactor core and blew up.
Thank you for pt2, Ive read that Gene Roddenberry said that there were going to be only five Galaxy class starships. But it would have been nice to see other capital ships named as well: Bismarck, Tirpitz, Hood, New Jersey, Missouri, Musashi, Constitution, Victory. Was listening right up until Montgomery Scott. Where is this information from? Regardless, the Federation must have hundreds of billions of citizens, many of which must be qualified or overly qualified compared to the previous generation. Why is always the same 50 or so people that do everything important? Coupled with the fact that Montgomery Scott is old and retired, let him have his rest. Ridiculous.
Sorry you are incorrect! Scott did not retire, nor was he old by Star Trek standards... Remember he was stuck in Transporter Buffer for 75 years, where he did not age! So he had decades before he had to retire!. As for sources, a simple google search would provide you with a ton, but here are just some! The Two-Front War; Through the Looking Glass; Ship of the Line; The Future Begins; Solemn Duty; Full Circle; Godshock comics; Have Tech, Will Travel; The Belly of the Beast; NF novels: Renaissance, Restoration; Gateways series; Star Trek: Corps of Engineers series; TNG novel: A Time for War, A Time for Peace; And this is JUST a partial list to support everything in this video, there are so many more. Regardless, how you feel about it is immaterial and coupled with the fact that so many sources support these versions of events means that Scott is not old, did not retire and continues to contribute to the greater Star Trek universe. So let him have the life he deserves. Facts.
The loss of the Odyssey is one of those moments in the series I'll never forget. I remember fully expecting them to whup some jem hedar. 🖖

Except it was completely unnecessary, as if you didnt notice, I kind of have this type of thing well in hand :P Also remember, Im NOT a Betazoid, nor is anyone else reading your comments, and from an outside view, it sure looks like a criticism, as though you felt you had to correct, or tell me something I didnt already know :P Evidenced by your line that "i`m trying to say is there are more Galaxy class ships than you think.." As you felt for some reason I DIDNT know that, when I sure DID know :)
How many Galaxy class are there?
Star Fleets Chariot 1701-D
Do not forget the USS Excalibur and Captain Calhoun
The Excalibur is an Ambassador Class, not a Galaxy Class...
What about the Yamato?
I always thought the Galaxy Class was kinda ugly and clunky looking. Prefer the Ambassador and Sovereign class designs much more.
Why can't we see episodes like these talked about hear
you've confused the Venture with the Galaxy here - it's the Venture that we see (and hear reference too) multiple times in DS9. The USS Galaxy is only mentioned in text in one TNG episode and in ST NEM.
Sorry, you are incorrect! This video is a Beta canon Video (which is clearly stated in the intro, you did watch it right?) which uses multiple Beta Canon sources to flesh out the history of the Galaxy. Thus the only one confused here is you! In future, please do actual research on the topic you are commenting on to prevent yourself from making this type of obvious mistake. That approach will also help you in the long run in developing your own channel. Take care
Unfortunately UA-cam wont allow me to load/watch this for some unknown reason?
I dont know why, that would be a UA-cam Vs You issue, and I just loaded it up fine, and no one else seems to be having the problem :( Sorry, hopefully whatever the issue is, it will be fixed soon!
@@TriAngulumAudioStudios Iv no idea just get an infinite load symbol, other UA-cam videos work just not this one. managed to watch it on my phone via the app just not on the TV app.
Honestly, I couldnt tell you... This video has not been made any different then all my other vids, and no one else is having any issues :(
Ok can someone tell me what books the Challenger stories are in because they seem horrible
The Return, Ship of the Line, Slings and Arrows, A Sea of Troubles, The Needs of the Many and Indistinguishable from Magic! Just to name a few!
Blows my mind that the jemhadar could ram threw the shields of the galaxy glass , I know they were weaker than normal do to the polerized beam weapons of the jem but any way an yes I hope they show more of the Galaxy class or shit even offer Picard a job back an even give it the the name an a decent registration of course but that Neva happen , it be nice tho
Well the ship didnt HAVE shields at the time... If you watch the episode, the Captain explains that the Jem'Hadar Phased Polaron weapons were able to penetrate the shields making them useless, so the Captain diverted all Shield power to weapons systems...
True wished they could have fought better , but didn't work
Hence the failure of the Galaxy Class :P
I hope to see either the E or the F in Picard. I've had quite enough of Generic Romulan Warbird, Generic sci fi deisgn, and the mighty USS Copypasta
TNG S02E11 (Contagion) commanded by Capt. D. Varley. You didn't give much detail about the Yamato, just that it was a sister ship to the Galaxy. They were all sister ships, and deserve their due .
You did see that this is "Part One" right? SO next time, before trying to give me lessons on "their due," you should probably watch all the videos, or at least read the title LOL
You forgot Yamato. But otherwise very good. Nvm just noticed second part.
LOL yeah you should always check before commenting to avoid embarrassment :P
The Galaxy-class ships were neve distroyed from weapons from outside but only from the negligence from thair officers - so Fullerton was rigt
Somewhat right, but incomplete.
I'd say "undetected design insufficiencies" made them (specifically, their power cores) significantly vulnerable to attacks from disproportionately less-powerful sources. Perhaps more accurate to say defensive systems weren't up to protecting the power cored full of highly volatile fuel)
Yamato - basically, a computer virus caused enough operation & control problems until it caused some fatal error (matter/antimatter reaction containment, wasn't it?).
What about the USS YAMATO
You did see that this video is Part 1 right? And HERE is Part 2... ua-cam.com/video/h9uuGBJ-KsU/v-deo.html&ab_channel=TriAngulumAudioStudios
Well we can dream or make our own fictional ships in plastic model form.
You forgot about the USS Yamato that was destroyed over Iconia
You did see this is only Part 1 right? :P
You missed the USS Yamato the Enterprise sister ship!
No I didnt, you did see this is Part 1 right? Maybe you ought to check out Part 2? ua-cam.com/video/h9uuGBJ-KsU/v-deo.html&ab_channel=TriAngulumAudioStudios
Strange that they used the number a '7' at the end of the registry with the start of a class then with a '0'
There are no set patterns for Registry!
Did you omit the Yamato intentionally?
Did you notice it says "Part One?"
@TriAngulumStudiosAudioComics Nope, sure didn't! Thanks for pointing that out to me! Just figured the only other Galaxy class we ever saw in TNG (other than Enterprise) might have been worth mentioning in, "part 1". But you're right, I didn't pay attention to the title!
Any good writer knows you anchor a story, and never use all anchor points in one story... Really, I just figured you'd actually read the title before making assumptions, like everyone else did... So dont try and passive aggressively place the blame for your mistake on me LOL
What about the U.S.S.Yamato?
You did see this is Part 1 right?
You forgot USS YAMAMOTO.
No I didnt... You did see this is only Part 1 right? :P
Ridiculous.
Sorry you are incorrect! Scott did not retire, nor was he old by Star Trek standards... Remember he was stuck in Transporter Buffer for 75 years, where he did not age! So he had decades before he had to retire!. As for sources, a simple google search would provide you with a ton, but here are just some! The Two-Front War; Through the Looking Glass; Ship of the Line; The Future Begins; Solemn Duty; Full Circle; Godshock comics; Have Tech, Will Travel; The Belly of the Beast; NF novels: Renaissance, Restoration; Gateways series; Star Trek: Corps of Engineers series; TNG novel: A Time for War, A Time for Peace;
And this is JUST a partial list to support everything in this video, there are so many more. Regardless, how you feel about it is immaterial and coupled with the fact that so many sources support these versions of events means that Scott is not old, did not retire and continues to contribute to the greater Star Trek universe. So let him have the life he deserves. Facts.
USS Yamato???
You did see this is part 1 right...
Y la uss yamato?
Viste que esta es la parte 1, verdad?
This guy sounds like the lock picking lawyer
Not even in the slightest :P
hi there taas , you missed out the uss yamato .
Uhmmm no I didnt... You did see this is only Part 1 right? :P
What about the Venture?
You did see this only Part 1 right? :P
