This video is about my experience having a hemorrhagic cyst burst on one of my ovaries. I had emergency surgery a few weeks ago. I am sharing what happened and my recovery.

This is exactly what happened to me, I was booked to get my cyst removed because it was as big as a golf ball, but my cyst burst just a few days after I had an appointment with my consultant for my surgery. It was the worst pain I’ve ever experienced, I can totally relate to this 💕 thank you for sharing your story, I think more women need to know about ovarian cysts and PCOS xxxx

How long did the pain last?
This just happened to me yesterday but I didn’t get an emergency surgery because my vitals were still normal, but I had all those symptoms you described in the beginning, thanks for sharing your story. I can completely relate.

Thank you for sharing your story 😍 it describes all my HOC symptoms . And since I still live with my family I am the only ugly duckling that’s always sick because before this ER see I was diagnosed with arthritis and fibromyalgia along with PTSD depression and OCD so I have my hands full
I’m going to the ER today because of your story, and how informative it is. I’ve been putting it off because I do have imaging in a couple days. But when I saw my gynecologist she let me know that it was a hemorrhaging cyst and my pain has gotten to the point that every day is a decision if I should go or not. Really thank you it was so much for this video. It’s so informative and helpful. 💜
It felt like I was in labor and I have no kids. Worst pain I ever had in my life. 😣 I was vomiting, had diarrhea, felt faint and was crunched over sweating on the bathroom floor (butt naked), feeling hot snd had shortness of breath while bleeding from the vagina. I didn't get it removed because the ultrasound show that it had ruptured. 3 years later now I have sciatic pain and pain during intercourse, and when I sneeze I suspect from it. Going to the doc on Monday to see what can be done.
Oh wow I had the exact same experience! Just had surgery and was told I have endometrioma but I don’t have any symptoms of endometriosis 😪 what did the doctor find out? 😊
I too was in the bathroom naked and vomiting it was horrible and I’ve given birth 3 times it’s a pain you never forget…it’s def neck and neck if not worse than labor pain! I thought it was hard to breathe because my ribs were sore from vomiting but no it was the blood and the blood clots.
@@MilanandCharlotte She just said to monitor it. So far it's been going down since I switch my diet to being a vegetarian. Its maybe 2 centimeters or so big. I read a NIH study that said the hormones in meat can contribute to the growth of ovarian cyst and fibroids. I use to have a dull pain in my side that would make me feel nauseated at times, but that is gone now.
@@derrondawallace2382 I read the pain is from internal bleeding. I cant imagine getting stabbed or something. Sheesh! Wow! Now I know what labor pains feels like. I'm not looking forward to that. Have you had any problems since? I had this happen twice in my life.
@@monameesha3700 nothing new but recovery wasn’t fun and I had to have my IUD replaced. Hope you are better now. 😘♥️

My 16 yr old daughter was in the ER Monday night for this very same thing. She didn’t hv surgery but is feeling a lot of pain. She’s in bed with a heating pad. Thank you for sharing your story
Thank you for talking about this! I had all of the pain and symptoms, so I decided to go to the ER yesterday. My cyst is 19 cm large and I need surgery early this week. I just had a hemmoragic cyst removed recently, it was the size of a lemon. It did not rupture. I'm glad I watched this, it let's me know I made the right decision to have it removed. I had the cyst, that ovary and my right fallopian tube removed. However I am 53 and have 24 year old twin daughters. Thank you for sharing your video. God bless you!

@@aena5995 idk. I would have to try and find my old report. Ask your dr to tell you how big it is in comparison to something else. Also my 26 year old daughter has 4th stage metastatic breast cancer and had some eggs frozen and are in storage. Maybe you could do that. Don't think the worst , God has a plan for your life. Hugs
We’re you ever told it could have been a endometrioma? 😊 I just had surgery my 9 cm cyst bursted and they told me I have endometriosis but I can’t relate to any of the symptoms 😅
this exact same thing happened to me. I got sent to the hospital by ambulance after experiencing 10 hours of pain (I was supposed to start my period which is usually super painful)
I was passing out so the paramedic picked me up & ran me to the ambulance. he said I was going into cardiac arrest. after a ton of fentanyl & 2 blood transfusions they sent me to do an ultra-sound which was a huge fail, so they did a vaginal ultrasound & saw that my cyst had ruptured. Worse experience of my life. On iv’s for almost 4 days in the hospital is just brutal! I luckily didn’t need surgery because the bleeding had stopped. I have an appointment to see if surgery is needed on June 7th. not excited!

I had ovary torsion when I was 6 years old and the operation failed so when I was 7 it swelled up and I had to get more surgery

Omg had the same symptoms, but I waited and started vomiting every 10 minutes even with water. Prior blacked out, screamed for help, which felt like screaming was whispering. The other sign was ringing in my ears after peeing. Passed out in the waiting room and someone grabbed me. The pain....was so...awful!!! Like an iron fist clenching down on your shoulders and lungs. Turned out it was due to blood sloshing against the organs. Lost nearly over 2000cc of blood. If there is one thing I learned.... I NEVER want to die from an internal hemerage...it is the second most painful thing ever!

This sounds exactly like what just happened to me 9 days ago. The absolute most painful moment of my life. I had half a gallon of blood in my stomach and fainted 3 times. I literally thought that I was going to die in that moment. From a small cyst that hemorrhaged.

I have a lot of muscular spasms for years. Recently I was told I have a massive cyst Im worried I wouldn't know the difference if it ruptured. I have to wait for sugery but I'm worried If I don't have that long

Thank you for sharing this! My fiance just had a hysterectomy due to her Endometriosis being so bad and a cyst has developed in the ovary after the surgery. We just found out yesterday that the cyst is a complex cyst :-(

I had the same thing when I was 18, and also needed emergency surgery (I lost 1 litre of blood as well). They said it was something super rare, but 7 years later it happened all over again and I needed another surgery. I have been taking the pill for the past 13 years and it never happened again
Thanks for sharing. Sorry for your suffering. I am going through it for 3 months. I have a HOC that’s 5/6cm on my left ovary. The past 7 nights I’ve had zero sleep cos the pain gets so bad, I cried. It spreads to my back, my leg and lasts for hours. Worst thing ever experienced. I don’t want it to rupture 😢 seeing a gynaecologist tmrw for the first time. My hospital (been 4 times) don’t do anything, they just give painkillers which don’t always help.

@@soniaanyanwu9925 hi! So i finally got it removed 2 months later in December that year. It was an 8cm endometrioma cyst. It caused my ovary to be stuck to my bowel and womb hence the agony i was in. They confirmed i had stage 4 endometriosis. Surgery went well but my left ovary and fallopian tube are not looking good fertility wise apparently. They put me on birth control pills after and during 2020 i suffered really bad migraines and had to quit the pills. Now i am ok, an MRI scan 9 months post-op confirmed no visible endo but adenomyosis. I just had another follow up scan awaiting results and i am anxious as i had stopped the pills n hope i dont have another cyst growing.

This happened exactly to me last night. I was too scared to call 911. The pain was unbelievable and I too couldn’t even push urine or anything out because the pain became too intense. Having to per made it ten times worse than it already was. No idea how I managed to jot pass out.
Now I can barely move or even lay down because my entire abdomen and especially my lower pelvis is sooooooooooo tender!
Hi Sarah, I hope you’re feeling better! I would definitely go to urgent care or ER to get check out if I were you.
I had the same thing with not being able to pee and laying down making it worse. Blood from a hemorrhagic cyst gets into the abdominal cavity and the blood spreads out more when you lay down. Blood is not supposed to be there outside of blood vessels, so it is very irritating and painful. If it’s not a lot of blood, my doctor said the body can reabsorb it. Not the case for me because I needed surgery to stop the bleeding and remove the blood.
@@TaylorAnnHealth If you ever have that type of pain again, don't hesitate to run to the emergency room. I nearly died from an ovarian hemerage because I hesitated and delayed the symptoms till the next morning when it was severe. Its better to be safe than sorry.

Thank you for sharing. 1 month and a half I discovered I have a 8cm cyst. Doctors say it could be a benign tumor or endometrioma. Only the operation will tell. I'm a little bit scared about the anestesia, the whole procedure and the recovery. Wish me luck!

@@aena5995 mine is 3.5 X 1.7. Our cysts are about the size of a grape tomato. That’s why they hurt
I’ve experienced this 2 months after a hysterectomy this year and STILL experiencing pain as I’m typing this. I’ve been scheduled for a second surgery a month ago with another doctor to remove both ovaries due to a growing cyst on the right (11cm) and a tubal damaged left ovary chocolate cyst (or something like that) and I’ve been to ER again last weekend and stayed in the hospital overnight. I was told that the cyst on the right wasn’t ruptured. Then what the hell was the excruciating pain I’ve been feeling???!! After the overnight stay I was sent home with a 3 day supply of Percacet. The doctor won’t refill the prescription and ibuprofen and Tylenol don’t help whatsoever. So I’m waiting in pain until surgery day which is on the 27th of this month. Mind you, I’m a School Bus Driver with school starting back early this year August 14th. The surgery Im scheduled for is the laparoscopic surgery with a 2 week recovery time. I just pray that Im well enough to return to work in the period of time. Our Dry-Run (practicing our route before school starts) is August 10th and 11th. Oh, I too have no children and have never been pregnant. I feel the these doctors are failing me with the pain I’ve endured because I’m a Black Woman.
I forgot to mention that when I went the ER the doctors where planning for an emergency surgery but somehow that never happened 🤷🏽♀️.
i hate this pain for 3 days now and it's in my lower left abdominal it doesn't hurt that much sometimes i even forget about it but when i move my leg or sit or walk it hurt but when i'm standing still or sitting i don't feel anything and that part is a little bit swollen but not bloated i don't have any other symptoms and i'm 17 i'm scared

I have a 2 hemorrhagic cysts. One on my left that’s almost 2cm and one on my right that’s 4 cm. I’m in pain when I sit certain ways or stand at work. Did anyone get dark brown discharge with these cysts. I’m on hormonal birth control for my PCS and I haven’t had a period in a little over a month. The sharp pain in my side feels like it’s only getting worse and not going away.
Did your results say a hemorrhagic complex cyst?
@@nihssamarie1393 I asked for a copy of the report, it doesn’t say simple or complex all it states is that I have hemorrhagic cysts.

I had one bust on the 4th of July of this year..The pain woke me up out of my sleep..I waited for about a hr to see if the pain would go away but it got worse.. I literally thought was in labor but i wasn't pregnant. The only pain i can compare it to is late stage of labor. They gave me morphine. I didn't even know i had cysts. I still have about 3 on my right side... I go back next month for my 3rd ultrasound.

JustCountry 987 hi! My cyst has went down to the size of 2.6cm over the course of 6months from eating healthy. No dairy, no refined sugars, no white rice and drink fruit/veg juice daily! I also drink celery juice daily. I no longer feel like fainting during my periods, and the pain of the cyst is reduced alot. Hope this is beneficial to you :) all the best wishing you good health

Thanks for sharing this video very helpful. Please let me know what size of cyst needs surgery? I got diagnosed cyst today 2cms in size but they will check do the next ultrasound in 6-8 weeks but it is hurting me.
How was it?
I had the exact same thing happen to me on Friday night and i’m 17. But, they let me go home and have no surgery because my blood count was better and stopped going down. I still have pains and bloating but it’s slowly getting better. But I am so sorry you had to go through a surgery. I got lucky not having to get a surgery.
I’m so sorry to hear that happened to you. I just had a second cyst burst and they let me go home also this time. It was painful but not as bad as when I needed surgery. I hope you recover quickly.

I’ve been dealing with this sharp pain on my right side of my lower abdomen, then my lower back hurts . This pain is sooooo bad to the point where breathing hurts . I’ve gone to the hospital and was sent home cause I was “ fine “ all the urine and lab work and CT scan came out fine . I visited 2 doctors and ultrasound and x rays came out fine . But how ????? I’m still in pain !! Please help .

I have experienced same sharp pain last year in October but the ultrasound came out fine
But occasionally I used to feel this dull pain on my right side and in the month of may pain was so intense , fever , backpain , and urgent need to urinate etc I was facing
Later after the scan I got know that I have cyst of 6cm

I just found out I had a hemorrhagic ovarian cyst mine was 4cm didn't need surgery but mine is bleeding slowly n they sent me home with hydrocodone they did an ultrasound and pap smear and they said my bloodwork is all good but I'm still scared things will go for a wrong turn ... They are just going to keep checking it to see if it's healing properly...

@@javeria_memon I'm very sorry to read that you have one!! Mine just healed on its own. I took things easy and didnt get intimate for a while. Then I went back in for a repeat ultrasound to make sure it healed and it did. I pray in Jesus name that the same happens for you!!!
My doctors were saying that even if my ovary would of burst I would of been ok because you would definitely know from pain and then go to ER and then an emergency surgery would be performed. Please try not to worry, I know it's easier said then done.

After 3 months of a missed period (when I’ve usually always been regular), and recently, sharp pains on my right, I had an ultrasound which said I have a 3x3 haemorrhagic cyst. They told me to wait it out and they will re test in 2 months. In so much pain and I am terrified it bursts!

Me too. .. After 1 months of suddens missed period ( was always regular too all the time ) , went for ultrasound at gynaecological and found out a 2.7cm " simple cyst " on my right side too. Now is the 3rd month of missing period ... doc prescribed BC pills to help to control the cyst from getting bigger and to help my periods come after finishing 21 days BC pills . Hopefully the cyst didn't get some chances to grow bigger and can dissappear by it own.
This is exactly what happened to me! I have never felt pain like that in my life 😥 I had no clue what what going on. I had to cyst; one 5cm & the other one ruptured. 😿 sadly I didn’t get the option of the the laparoscopy surgery, I had the open abdomen surgery 😔

How did you go about finding out i had all this pain yesterday I'm healthy and I take pain really well unless I'm in pain pain I'll go to the er so i did at first I thought it was my appendix but turns out they saw liquid then told me I might have an cyst and send me home after giving me morphine
The cysts is 3cm going back next month for another ultrasound for check up if is der i'm going for surgery as is the last resort

@@Vlynncrawfish how are feeling now? Did the cyst degrease? I have abnormal bleeding too after my ectopic pregnancy thats when i found out i have 3cm cyst
@@chechebautista9533 my doctor put me on birth control with a higher hormone count and it went away after about two months. I did end up having a laparoscopy for endometriosis as well though.

I have been having pains on my right side and occasionally my left too for a long time almost a yr or more , today i went to get it checked ultrasound and the reports said all the organs r fine but i have multiple cysts on my right ovary and hemorraghic cysts idk wht to do , is this extremely harmgul does itgo away by itself?? Btw i am 20

Me too... I accidentally found out I got ovarian cyst after 1 month periods absent ... mine was 2.7cm ... so doc given BC pills to me ... my periods was absent for almost 3 months ... gynae told me not to be to anxious about it coz it's is just "simple cyst "... hope it can dissappear after the periods come for 2 ,3 cycles ... I just finished my BC pills today ...pray that my periods come next week ... If not I am pretty sure I will need surgery to remove it after 6 months ...
I also go through this situation initially i have surgery because i have functional cyst in right ovary that covers my fallopian tube the weight of the cyst is 8kg 600g i mean really i am in 20s after consult to my gynokologist explain me that surgery is only solution you thick that i am only in 20s and not married they also explain that we need to remove your right ovary and fallopian tube 😢😢😢 at this time i am in recovery stage.

From what I understand, a hemmhoragic cyst is usually a benign cyst that bleeds and either fills with blood, or bleeds into the pelvis (the cyst somehow gets blood vessels?), at any time, not caused by anything in particular, and an endometrioma is endometriosis on the ovaries, basically spots of tissue similar to the lining of the uterus, which follow your hormonal cycle, so they only bleed when you're on your period

Well, feeling how it began to shrink and eventually disappear within 2 months was so liberating. I followed the steps I mentioned, and within the first 2 weeks the bloating was gone. I just go'ogled Tilly Strankten's Cyst Guide and now I feel as light and relaxed as I've ever been.

I was diagnosed with hemorrhagic ovarian cyst. Dr said i should monitor for pain as this is a sign of rupture. Cyst is 5cm small for removal. Im scared if it wll enlarge to 7cm as they will excise it. Imscared with the whole operating thing. Does the incision scar large?
I had a laparoscopy, so the 3 incisions are small but visible on my abdomen.

I just found out I have a 21cm cyst on my left ovary. We found out during our first check up in Fertility Clinic 2 weeks ago (we're trying to conceive for over 2 and a half years now). I was so shocked when the doctor told us the I have a cyst. I was in total shocked because I don't have any symptoms. On the 26th, I need to go to the hospital to find out what treatment I need to have. But I guess I can't go back home to the PH on December if surgery is needed :-(

I had hemorrhagic cyst while on birth cotrol. I hate bc n I don't believe in it. Look for natural remedies sis 😔
I did completely come off of birth control and went herbal. I'm now pregnant.
I've completely changed my diet, so I was not having any meat other than an occasional fish or shrimps. Plenty veggies (try going strictly organic as it is safer), no soy foods and the herbs i used for teas were Dong Quai, Milk Thistle and Macca root. There are articles online telling you how to make the teas
@@javeria_memon that can be very exhausting. I just went straight natural and the only thing I took would be probiotics
@@javeria_memon I mean, everyone's body is different but the herbs definitely helped to regulate my cycle
And beetroot. Lots and lots of beetroot will give you energy and increase your blood count, naturally
