- Meet Shinichi Morohoshi. This is his workshop, Fighting Star, in Edogawa City, Tokyo. It's a collective dedicated to one thing: customizing supercars, mainly Lamborghinis. He is known for his LED customizations and flashy exteriors. During the day, the cars sit in the garage or homes, but at night they come alive on the Tokyo Expressway.
Despite the international popularity of his rides, it's still difficult for him to drive at speed through central Tokyo because of traffic regulations. His customers are international. Fans will recognize him as the Outlaw icon in 2015's "Need for Speed" game. Seeing one of the Fighting Star cars is like watching the 2006 action movie "The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift."
We caught up with him in Tokyo.
