The stranger is clearly not Zeus yet wielded the power of thunder. With fiery red hair, a enlarged physic, and a fury in his eyes glaring not at Herakles but the incoming giants approaching the two.

I realize man's obsession with creating fictional characters with amazing ability being God's or superheroes is linked to our obsession with attaining great power. And anything we as a species imagine it's possible we seem to create.
24? There were more than a Hundred giants. 40 of which we know their names. Also, they weren't elemental humanoids, they were human looking giants and their feet were snakes from the calf down.
Wierd that the comics depict the giants as having elemental traits when in traditional statuary they are always depicted as anguipeds. Its Disney's insidious influence creeping in I bet.
It's also note worthy to point out that Heracles arrows were coated in the Hydra blood which is a powerful deadly poison. I also don't think that "took to another land" is a real thing because the mother of the Giants is Gaia, the Earth, and well, she's everywhere. Another land is still Gaia.
What they mean is that they had to lure them outside their place of birth, which is believed to be Halkidiki (others claim Thrace). Also Gaias rage after the battle gave birth to Typhon

THIS IS EVEN BETTER THAN DISNEYS'S HERCULES
The Pergamon statues in Berlin shows this battle, and it is incredible art. Even Afrodite stands with spear and shield a pearses one of the giants.
