- Today I finally get my hands on a Treasurehive and I talk about it. I also nitpick, but we all know that is what I do here.

Smart putting a dreadmaw in one, that is a rare and powerful card that deserves the best protection.
I love the art on that card. It’s a dumb stompy, but love that art! They did Dreadmaw dirty making it a simple six drop 6/6 with trample. 😩
@@kellybrian6495 omigosh yes the art is fantastic!
@@nosrin1988 I’ve been meaning to make a custom play mat with that art on it. Sad how great art gets a poor card profile sometimes.
@@kellybrian6495 ya, there's quite a few amazing arts wasted on lackluster cards.
tyranous rex comes to mind, that spikey 11/11 from ikoria comes to mind.
also I want animate wall on a playmat.....
Thank you for the review! I looked into the Treasurehive recently and i too was puzzled as to what it brings to the table when compared to other Hive products. If my calculations are correct, based on the capacity of an Arkhive 400+, the Treasurehive 90+ should be able to hold no more and no less than 48 Cubeamajigs - which is exactly a large cube (or two small cubes). No other Hive product holds a standard-sized cube in Cubeamajigs that perfectly (the Arkhive 400+ holds 22 instead of 24). So i would argue that this is perhaps Ultimate Guard's best cube box.
That’s an excellent point! I plan on doing a follow up video soon about the Minthive and will be sure to include cubeamajig capacity for both of those.
Thank you so much for pointing that out!
Friend: “Do you have any Divide by Zeros?”
Me: “Let me check my archive.”
Okay, they got me by the slick name.
Definitely makes you feel like you have a "collection" when you say you have to check the archive!
@@beyondthedeckbox Currently I own two ‘Stanley FATMAX tool box organizers’ which hold my entire collection and home brewed decks. They work.
I've bought a Treasurehive recently (waiting for the delivery now) for one and only one reason. I wanted a large box for cards and boulders where they would look at me when I open it up. I mean not laying down horizontally or looking left or right, but actually staying vertical front-facing when I open the box. This way I can see the cards faces and titles on the dividers etc right away and won't need to turn the box. Literally because of that.
I definitely understand that. It’s one of the reasons why I like it a little more than the Omnihive. While I can fit the Omnihive in shorter drawers (a use case that isn’t that common for me I’ll admit) the Treasurehive having them standing makes things a lot easier to sort and manage.
Love the channel, news, format and the bloopers LoL. I dont use currently any magnetic nor screwdowns for my collection but it would be a nice content video to compare them all.
That’s a great idea! I’ll definitely put it on the list! Thanks!
I do use them, but not for my entire collection. I use them for sports cards, but those are not played, so that makes sense. As for MTG, I use them for cards greater than $1000, and run a proxy in the deck.
It's a shame this box had been marketed so poorly because size wise it is a nice Middle Ground between something like a quiver or archive 400 or 500. And the big boy 1100+ models. But it's super niche marketing means it did not rewlly get the exposure it needs
I agree. Now seeing their Minthive in addition to this, I think they are trying to fill in a market that isn't being served very much right now. (Sports cards collectors with magnetics and screw downs.) But you're right, I think they could have gone broader and then just highlighted the niche usage.
UG is the best, from the katana sleeves to storages I must have spent at least 1500/20000 bucks on their products by now 😂
Thanks for the review. I think this'll be perfect for my Flesh and Blood collection as I have my decks in Boulders and my Weapons/equipment in handy One Touch snap cases so the extra space will be great for "treasures"
Commenting randomly to help boost channel. You’re welcome. 💪
Thank you so much!
im late to the party but i like Magnetics for certain types of cards. Stained Glass Walkers / SLair cards. The niche of it is nothing seems to fit those magnetics smoothly means that while its not as super unique for most medium collection sizes it does fill a niche. Its not a BIG desire for me but it is a desire.
I really like Ultimate Guard, but their naming conventions are all over the place. What "hive" product would you recommend for storing sleeved cards? The Arkhive Xenoskin 800+? Can dividers be inserted into these? I'd personally like to see Ultimate Guard release something to compete with the BCW 3200 or the UltraPro 3-drawer organizer.
I agree, I would LOVE them to try and enter the space with a 3200 or 3 Drawer competitor.
As for sleeved cards, I like the Arkhive 400 or 800. I also like the Omnihive if you have a LOT of cards you need to keep in one box. And regular dividers should fit in all of those without any issues. Hope that helps!
@@beyondthedeckbox Great, thank you.
RIP AND TEAR!!!
My entire collection (including my gems) is in 2 5000 count cardboard boxes divided in 5 rows. Each card is in a single basic storage sleeve. After 30 years of collecting...when I go fishing for a card for a new deck...they are all perfectly flat...no wear...and because they are in a cardboard box under my bed...total UV protection. I never understood these kinds of boxes outside of deck storage.
I have tried every kind of collection organization set up...Binders where by far the most space consuming and potentially damaging. Nothing beats the tried and true cardboard card storage box.
What are those "coins" on top of the Boulder(s) and how you put them on? Glue?
They were pins that came with the Ravnica Guild kits that were released back during Guilds of Ravnica and Ravnica Allegiances. I'm not much for pins so I didn't know what to do with them. But when I put this box together I pulled off the pin attachment on the back and glued them on the top. I really like how they came out. You might be able to find them individually for sale if you search for "guild kit pins"
Do cubeamajis fit in them? I'm looking for a gaint box for my Jumpstart cube since now every set it's gonna have a box to get to expand mine so mine work out well for that?
The definitely fit! This would be excellent for a Jumpstart cube because of the size. And with the new Jumpstart products coming out it's perfect timing!
Woot
How about dragon shield cube shells? Do you have any to check how many would fit? I am looking for a box for my 540 cube with 200 double sleeved lands and tokens
I don't have those, but I know my LGS sells them so I'll pick a few up and check here in a few weeks. (Was planning on doing a review of them sometime in the future anyway, might as well start on the R&D now!)
I'm using the new 2022 dragon shield cube shells. In my opinion they are pretty damn good, no complaints. I'm in china and it's nearly impossible to get cubamajigs. Instead of forking over the money for the treasure hive, I just bought a shadows over innistrad gift box instead. Fits my purpose well enough. Might get one of these if you happen to try it out, but no worries if you don't. I'll probably still buy one anyway haha
Will it fit the boulder n tray?
I wonder if these can hold graded cards as well.
I'll be honest I'm not entirely sure as I don't have any graded cards to check. I think they will, because looking at the size of a typical graded card it seems similar to a magnetic. I'll see if I can check on this and report back.
@@beyondthedeckbox You're awesome. Thanks.
Does this fit sidewinders??? On every lane ofcourse
Just checked and sadly it's too tight. The middle walls bend out when you try to put them in on their sides. Hope that helps!
@@beyondthedeckbox I have the 80+ sidewinders and I think those fit nicely
@@beyondthedeckbox i saw a video by trader online video and they fit it in
Ah, that’s the difference. My apologies, I was testing the sidewinders 133+ and forgot there were smaller ones. Sorry for the confusion.
@@beyondthedeckbox i feel like there isn’t much love for the sidewinders hahaha I haven’t seen a single video of any box for them in except that one
will Ultra Pro Towers fit in this?
I just checked and it's too tight. I mean, they will fit, but the walls bow out and I think it will damage them over time. Boulder 100 is the biggest that will fit snuggly without issue. Hope that helps!
@@beyondthedeckbox Do you know of any box that will house the towers?
