Mark, is there a formula to determine how long to cut the stems? (stem to container ratio?) Loved it!!
Thanks Lisa! There is not a specific rule per se, but when establishing the overall height and width of the design, you can use 1-1/2 times the height of the container! Thanks for watching! Hope to see you on the next one too!

Great video, will use your recommendations. I have a ton of questions. Are there grocery store flowers which should be avoided? What flowers last the longest? Flower height and width in contrast to container. Not a fan of bourbon but watched the whole segment and learned something! Thanks!
Thanks, Lonnie! As for which last the longest, typically alstromeria, carnations, mini carnations, mums, to name a few. Bulb flowers aren’t the longest lasting but are some of my favorites (tulips, Iris, daffodils). The typical height for an arrangement is 1-1/2 times the height of the container. Is the tape a specific type of floral tape or just skinny tape?
Hi Stephanie. Yes, it is a specific type. We refer to it as "anchor tape" or "waterproof floral tape"and it comes in clear, dark green and white (for different applications!).
