Check out Wayne Goss' videos on brush and bronzer tricks/placements. They'll really change your life as well. Especially the face lift tutorial. I'm so happy more people are experimenting with the high cheekbone makeup placement. It's very flattering
These might be the best and most do-able tips that I've ever seen. The difference is astounding and the way you explain everything is so clear and easy to understand. Bless you.
I never realized that having a side-by-side example of both "What To Do" and "What NOT To Do" would be this helpful! And by making the "Not" side not look ridiculous or clown-like, I can pick and choose which techniques I like best and look the best on me. Really helpful, straight-forward, easy to follow and along and understand. Thank you so much!
It's important to try new things now and then, spice it up and test things! My personal vote is that I love your videos because there is no music! There was a repetitive noise in this music like a cricket type sound .. it kept freaking me out 😂😫 I do want to add though that it is YOUR channel and your creations, you do whateva tha hell you want! 🥰
I loved how you were not judging how others do makeup, getting a bit fed up with all these beauty ‘experts’ making videos on how you shouldn’t do makeup. It’s up to the individual person, it’s art. Also loved your tips, and how you explained everything. Loved it!!
I've watched so many make-up tutorials at this point in my life that I feel like I've seen just about everything, but I watched this whole thing! Great video and you can really see the difference in a sensible, well informed way.
As someone who likes meditating and healing with sounds, I find the music is calming. It almost disappears once your attention is focused on what Jamie is saying. But I get what the sensitive people are saying, once you notice the music, thats all you hear and its a bit difficult to focus back to the talking.
King Zen agreed 100% I didn’t even realize there was anything playing in the background till I read her comment. It’s not like it was loud and you couldn’t hear her. It was calming.
I’ve always wanted to learn how to do my make up, but make up videos just never sit right with me. I don’t vibe with them. But THIS. This was gold. I do EVERYTHING you do on the left and sometimes I get frustrated bc I think my face looks less round without make up. Now I understand why. This was so helpful. Thank you!!!!!
The eyeliner trick is something I’ve been trying to achieve. There isn’t eyeliner tutorials for eyeliner in that shape... I’d love if you could do a short tutorial on how to do eyeliner the way you just advised in a bit more detail! Love your videos! 💋
This is the best tutorial for round faces I've ever seen. I've seen quite a few over the years, and always struggled to spot the difference, but the is really amazing
It’s been a long long time since someone uploaded an actual useful set of tips for people who already know makeup and just need a little umph to take it next level
Left side is literally how I do my make up and seeing the comparison to the right makes me want to experience more now. I always thought my face looks round and formless but guess I've just been doing my make up wrong 🙃🙃
This is the first video that I have seen, and I have watched a shit ton, that actually taught how to change the face shape using makeup rather than just seeing a finished look and learning nothing. Thank you, you are gorgeous!
I think the difference is that the left side (video left, Jamie right) is more of a young approach to makeup, we all learned those tips from 17 and teen vogue which is not bad, it gives a fresh youthful look. The right side is more of an elegant and refined* version (like your cool 27 year old cousin who is a bad bitch and is a boss lady) the things you learn when you learn about your face more and test makeup out.
Sarah it depends on how you feel when you wear it! If you like how it looks on you then wear it higher up 🤗 it’s all about how you like the way it lays on your face.
I loved this, especially the fact that you didn't create a crazy "don't" side. I have round eyes and always hated that winged liner, I am going to try this tip. Thank you!!
Jamie! This video reminds what make up is actually for. It seems that many forgot! Making subtle changes to bring big difference. Not to bluntly cover all over the face. Smart attitude, you look right through the essence of things! Loved all the tips, especially blush and bronzer one, eye liner is genius and brow is amazing. Brilliant, humble and professional input. Enjoyed it to the full. Helpful, beautiful, delicate techniques.
PLEASE can you do an in depth teaching series?! Focusing on a parts of the face, lips, colour tones for skin shades/eye colours/lips etc I know others do it but the way you taught in this was spot on! Honestly this was brilliant! You have innate teaching skills clearly. Long time viewer, not a commenter but had to comment on this! ♥️
Here because Allana Davison is obsessed with Jamie and I totally understand why now. Jamie, you're gorgeous and I could listen to your voice ALL DAY. It's so soothing. Thanks for the tips, too!
First video I’ve seen of yours... automatically subbed and liked I love how the video even though it’s 17 minutes long... it’s 17 minutes of what the actual video is and not rambling or a bunch of random clips that don’t have anything to do with it. Explained so well and made me really excited to try these out tomorrow morning when I do my face❤️
I love the fact that you said that everybody does makeup their own way, too many “this is wrong” videos out there ! There is no right in art, just different ways to do something! Also you are so pretty as always!
Saw this video a while ago, have been using the tips since, and came back to say that they have absolutely changed my routine for the better! Love the eyeliner, eyelash, and bronzing tips. Makes me feel more soft, fierce, and doe-eyed.
Best makeup video I’ve seen in literally years. I do my makeup just like this everyday and learned so so much. Game changer! This is what we want. You won Jamie. Stunt on these other youtubers!
JAMIE WHY ARE YOU THE BEST EVER?? these are legit such handy tips and the way you're so friendly and non judgey and just 'everyone have fun do your own thing' is the LOVELIEST
Thank you so much for posting this! Please never take it down. I'm young and Im really interested in makeup and all that. This is by far the most helpful video I came across
this is the bet makeup video i've ever watched in my life. so transformative and you didn't sabotage the traditional side so it shows the huge impact from just subtle changes.
I love how often Jamie reminds us in this that it's okay to do makeup whichever way, it's refreshing to hear. Rather than "this is wrong/this is right" kinda thing. Loved the video xx
Pleaaseee do more videos like this - I learned SO much! You’re so easy to follow and understand, and the subtlety in difference between the two stood out and stuck with me way more than if one side had been over the top or ridiculous as other comments have said. Keep up the great work, you continue to be one of my favorites!! ❤️
Many people mentioned it already, but I love that you didn't make one side ridicoulus. I always thought "well nobody does their makeup that way". But this one yes! Sad I only watched it after I just did my makeup 😂
If anyone wants a detailed version of the eyeliner shape Jamie did on her left, look up hooded eye eyeliner videos. It’s a great trick for those with hooded and for everyone else too.
Omg, you are gorgeous and I love listening to you talk. I got a second nose piercing yesterday and in taking a close-up pic of my face, I came to the harsh realization that I need some makeup in my life. I went out and bought some makeup today and have been watching rando videos for tips. This is a winner!
I have been using your bronzer and blush technique HOLY COW it’s what I’ve been doing wrong in makeup my whole life! Looks soooo good! Thank you for teaching us!
We're lifted, we're youthful, we're stunning. THAT'S why I love you. This was a pretty good video and we could really see the difference. Please do another if you have other tips and tricks. Only when someone explains it like this and shows it like this I can really see the difference. Thank you
It really lifts your face and thins it out as well! The “mistake” side almost looks rounder than the other side. Really cool to see the slight differences!
When I tell you that I'm so happy I found out about during quarantine. I saw your profile randomly on Instagram and watched a couple of videos because i love your accent. Then last week I decided to treat you like Netflix and I sorted your videos from oldest to newest and have been watching non stop for the last 4 days. I absolutely love your love for jack and the pups. Charlotte is an absolutely gem. You have definitely gotten a forever fan from me. Please stay safe and hopefully you can come to New York in the future. Kiss kiss kiss.....blows kisses......clicks nails lol
My friend always bragged on how cool it was that I cut my eyelashes in half to have a natural yet dramatic eye effect. Yes this trick has been my all time fav.
So interesting! My favorite tip was the half lash -I cannot believe what a difference that made. I never wear false lashes. I love the way they look on others but whenever I wear them I feel like they're way too much for my face -a half lash might be just the thing I'm looking for. Thanks!
The eyeliner part just changed my world! I always do my wing like the first eye and I get frustrated when I look in the mirror later on and my eye looks so round and it’s smudging. I’m going to try to learn on myself the way you did your second eye. It’s going to help so much
I never watch make up videos but i love the music and even more: the way you explained things. finally a smart woman with a good vocabulary who is educational instead of trend following. thank you!
Even your "mistake" side looks beautiful.. But yes a huge difference, everything looks so lifted.. Yes I'd like to see similar videos.. Love love love.. ♥️
Your left side looks like you are enhancing your natural features and the old way just looks overdone with no enhancement of features. Thank you so much.
The blush & bronzer part, I love both sides but I absolutely love the left side. I also love the amount of blush you used also. It’s just SO cute to me
You saying “I’m a grown up woman, a serious woman, but I still love looking like a Bratz doll” made me feel ok to continue living my life the way i do 😂
I definitely didn’t come here to say anything about the music in the background 👀 Hahahaha don’t worry Jamie! I actually needed to feel a wee bit zen this evening 😂💕
I so appreciate you sharing what you’ve learned to make a good thing even better. I also love that you stress that everyone can do their makeup however they want to! And while doing all of that you add your own personality and humor into it! Thank you!
I seriously loved the lip liner technique. Makes a huge difference, the minute you showed it, I ran to the bathroom to try it. Tomorrow ill play with makeup and try every technique. This video was very helpful for me because i was getting bored of my makeup. 🥰
I started placing the bronzer and blush up high because of this video. I'm still in love it and agree with you...having the blush and bronzer up to the eyeshadow, *MUAH* Chef's kiss! So thank you!
I found you a while ago and get so existed even to re-watch your videos. Your bloopers kill me every time. I watch those over and over too. Love you!! Thanks
Love the way you didn't deliberately make the one side look ridiculous. It really highlighted the big difference small changes make!
Totally agree!!
I do agree tooooo
Yes, very true 🙌🏼
I agree.
Love. love. love! I’m a new subscriber 💜
Love how you went straight into it instead of talking for 5 minutes
Yasssss!!!!! I wish more youtubers would chatter less & get to the point!! Same goes for podcasts!.....
Agree
I am obsessed with the difference with that bronzer and blush I am going to TRY to do it
Check out Wayne Goss' videos on brush and bronzer tricks/placements. They'll really change your life as well. Especially the face lift tutorial. I'm so happy more people are experimenting with the high cheekbone makeup placement. It's very flattering
Celti ok this sounds amazing, can’t wait to check it out!
This girl singlehandedly just changed my life.
Same here!!!!
Righhttt n same here girl !! So nice to find a great teacher for this like she’s so kind and specific. Finally lmaoo 🤍🙆🏻♀️🙆🏻♀️
mine too :)
Legit. I like that she didn't purposely do a rough side and polished side, truly was a techniques comparison.
Totally appreciate the soft and ambient background music that doesn't overpower the tutorial like most videos.
I didn’t even notice the music that’s how subtle it was 😍
Except I kept hearing frog noises and wondering wtf was going on😆
i thought my house had ghost's moaning in it until i read your comment and turned up the volume😂😂
@@taylorgautieri491 LOL!!!!
Totally agree. It’s so soothing. I thought the same thing

This comment is so cute x
Yesss
It's amazing what happens when a real makeup artist makes content!! 😍 I love her
It’s Absolutely a Stunning way of doing make up. Lifting looks so pretty and more natural. Great Tips they made a huge difference.
In this video Jamie literally gives us a free course and I’m thankful for that
😂🙌🏼
Wow I’m so glad

Don't worry guys, there will be no more (spa) music in my tutorials. You live and learn 😂🧖♀️
I didn't mind it 😂 some people got triggered by it LOL
I kinda liked it, it’s def a vibe
I luvvv it!! You do you ✨
Its so relaxing though 🙂

5 tips that I will genuinely use and weren’t painfully obvious. You’re fantastic.
I've watched so many make-up tutorials at this point in my life that I feel like I've seen just about everything, but I watched this whole thing! Great video and you can really see the difference in a sensible, well informed way.
Right lol I feel at this point everyone does the same techniques but this tutorial was really refreshing🥰
Im gonna looked so snatched after this
Yeaaaaa gurlllll
"We're lifted, we're youthful, we're stunning." I want to start talking to myself like this more lol
Do it! :)
Definitely using this as an affirmation 🤎🤎🤎
Do it in that stunning Scottish accent too !
As someone who likes meditating and healing with sounds, I find the music is calming. It almost disappears once your attention is focused on what Jamie is saying. I read this comment at the exact time she said it 😂
Left side is literally how I do my make up and seeing the comparison to the right makes me want to experience more now.
I always thought my face looks round and formless but guess I've just been doing my make up wrong 🙃🙃
Left side looks way better. Eyebrows too high on the other side. Looks unnatural to me. And lips too overdrawn.
Except the lashes. Less is more
Ffsjgowi maybe that was the look she’s going for !
@@femkie1322 obviously, but it looks unnatural. Compared to the other side which looks more relaxed and not pulled back looking
Mee too the same, now I need to practice...
This is the first time I’ve watched a tutorial and actually been able to do it and understand why it’s better. Thankyou so much x
This is the first video that I have seen, and I have watched a shit ton, that actually taught how to change the face shape using makeup rather than just seeing a finished look and learning nothing. Thank you, you are gorgeous!
Okay, can we just talk about how beautiful her skin is? It’s so even and clear!!
I agree my mum always said she used to use blusher almost as bronzer which I now understand, the blush is so much better in a bronzer style placement!
Good analogy 👏 👍 👌
Is the blush better up there? It seems so weird to me to have a pink temple. I guess if your hair is going to cover it. 🤔
I couldn't put this into better words than you just did
Sarah it depends on how you feel when you wear it! If you like how it looks on you then wear it higher up 🤗 it’s all about how you like the way it lays on your face.
