Hi .. I have one doubt there are four department as you said with different network in a switch that cannot be possible. If vlan used then only we can use different network. Please let me know If am wrong and yes I agree the switch will do flooding no matter what is the network because Switch is L2 device. Just need a clarification ...

If you don't want broadcast of one department to another one then yes you need 200 vlan

Hi ... I am surprised to see the range as 2-1001 but isnt it 1-4094 !!! what case we use the different range can you please explain

its 1-1005, and extended VLAN ID is 1006-4094 where 0 and 4095 are reserved VLAN tags.
