- Hey guys, in this video ill show you all how to install some aftermarket fog lights on your mazda3 2015 iSport Hatchback.
All parts will be discussed and listed in the video. These may vary depending on your make model and year but are what I successfully used on my 2015 Mazda 3 iSport HB.

I ordered the spyder brand ones, when i purchased they were on sale for around 80$
Fog light switch: Oem part number KD33-66-122
I purchased mine off ebay for aroung 35$
My 2015 does have a wire harness already, as I do not have a 2014 i cannot confirm that they do.
This is my first instructional video, sorry if the video is crap.....filmed and edited on an iphone 6+ i did my best to be informative and helpful.

UPDATE: Thankyou for all your views and comments, It is now February 2017 and I still have these fog lights installed with original bulbs, I have had no cracks or leaks, One of the fog light covers is a little bit loose now but I plan on replacing the pair of covers with LED DRL.
Great little tutorial, I Just wanted to ask how the fogs are holding up?
They are still doing well, the have been through heavy rain and wind with no issues cracks or leaking. I will say that one of the fog light covers is a little bit loose, but I had planned on changing them out with led versions. When I do I shall make another video. As it stands I am still extremely happy with these fog lights.
was quoted $609 by the dealer ship and 700$ by a local shop to do this to my 2015 mazda 3. after seeing this video i just ordered the parts and ill have it done for $150 and an hour of time. thank you my man!

I would only add a couple of things.
1 - Before ordering parts, make sure your Mazda 3 comes pre-wired. Not all countries assemble the same harnesses.
2 - Since installing the switch deals with the wiring in the steering column area, I suggest disconnecting the battery. This way we avoid any potential issues with an accidental airbag activation.
So which countries do or don't come pre-wired?
You are amazing! I just bought a Mazda 3 without fog lamps, and was prone to pay someone to install. Now I am gonna do it myself.
Just installed them yesterday and it made the car seem more classy and the fogs are bright and very effective!! Glad I was able to find this great clear installation video!!

Just did this to my 2015 Mazda3i sport and worked exactly as shown. This was very helpful and I am super happy I now have fog lights.

Thank you for this video! I just put new fog lights on my 2014 Mazda 3, late to the party I know, and your instructions worked perfect! Only thing I did differently was buy my parts on Amazon.
I have a 2016 Mazda 3, process is identical and it works! I went with a different switch. Part number:KS04-66-122 this has the auto headlights with the fog switch, also I used self tapping screws to fasten the foglights in their housing. Excellent Video and exactly right. Followed it right down to the screws. Pre-wire was right on. I'm not a mechanically inclined person and took me 15 min total. Only advice I have is to turn the steering wheel sharp left or right to get to turn signal release. This is a FANTASTIC tutorial. Right on the money. Good job on this.
Your video significantly shortened my learning curve ... was able to replace the broken fog light on my 2016 Mazda 3 HB in under 10 minutes (not counting the 5 minutes it took to gather up a few tools and cover them in tape ;-) ). Thanks!

Very cool! Definitely gonna want to get some for my iSport. I already odered an Intake and box, so I want to see if I can go pretty far with over upgrades to the car.

Thanks for posting this video, it was very helpful to me. I got the new signal lever/light switch on eBay as well as the fog lights...this was a very easy project and cost under $100.

Mate, I'm glad that I watch your video. I got my H11 fog lamps from Corksport 3 weeks back but yet to install it because their instruction was not clear and based on the previous generation Mazda 2.

Being in the UK I had to look for a stick with front and rear fog light switches. I went and bought a second hand one from ebay which had the Auto light switch too. I can confirm I know have Auto-lights as well as the fog lights.

Awesome tutorial! I have a 2016 Mazda 6 and I want to install LED DRLs with fog lights but there werent any videos but I think they may be nearly the same process. Im glad I stumbled across your excelleng video! BTW please please do the DRL installation video when you decide on switching!!! Keep on doing you man!
I just installed fog lights on my Mazda 3 after watching this video. Super easy although I didn't turn the wheel so taking out the light switch was the hardest part. (used a paint can opener) Great tutorial!
Can you do another tutorial when or if you install a HID headlight bulb conversion on your car?

Got mine for 55 bucks. Came with everything I need. Didn't use the stock wirings. I just used the new wirings that came with the foglights. Installed the new switch instead of replacing the signal lever. Now the foglights on when I just turn on the switch. 👌🏻
thanks a lot, this vid helped me to change the light bulbs from the fog lights in my M3SGT, I just installed LED lights to get a whiter look that match the bi xenons.

Thanks for the video. Just installed fog lights and the fog light switch on my '16 Mazda 3. For those with auto head lights, here's the part number (KD37-66-122) for the fog switch that I brought and used.
How did u use this number ? Like u digit that on ebay and that is it or what ?
Yes, just google search it. It should bring up the headlight switches for you. Depending on if you have auto-headlights or not, your part number will be different. The one I listed is for those who have auto headlights option installed on their Mazda.

Only issue I'm noticing now is...that I guess because of the gap? It rained the other day here and now one of the lights have like 1/4" filled up with water. I can unscrew the fog light as many times? Will this keep happening in rain?
take them out and inspect the housing maybe there is a crack or dry area that needs some caulk or butyl rope

Did you try this, and if so, did the 2014 have an existing wire plugged into the dummy switch behind the plastic cover, like his for the 2015?
Hi. I have just bought the same kit as you have in the video but I notice that the new switch has not got the Auto lights selection on it. I guess I have to give up that option. Maybe I simply ordered the wrong one.

Very good video. I just bought the lights and wanted to know if I need to obligatorily the Fog light switch, or I can install it and with the nights lights they will turn on normal? Or if the Fog light switch is only to have the option of turning them on or off when you want? thanks men
You need the fog light switch. Without it the fog lights do not get power.
Anyone on here knows if the 2017 6 can be installed with the same method. Where's there's a dummy behind the fog light assembly cover.
Nice job, I would recommend disconnecting the negative battery cable before installation.

But do yourself a favor: buy a tripod for the video camera so the two handed jobs are easier and you can show them.
I bought foglights for my Mazda 2, Everything is installed as the video, but when the fogs doesn´t turn on. Maybe I need a relay?? or the oem wiring doesn´t need that?
Do you not have rear fog lights? In Europe it's a legal requirement.

I have a Mazda 6 but I'm not sure how to remove the dummy blinds from the fog light slot. Can you please help me? Do I need to remove the bumper for installing the fog light assembly?
What I did on my 6 is I went through the wheel well, just take off the fastener clips on the wheel well turn the wheel so you can reach better. Bend back the well and reach the clips from below and it should come out. Everything else should be similar to the video.

NotAnotherHowTo Thanks to you I installed my Spyder fog lights and Mazda light control stick this morning. It was THE BEST D.I.Y. I have ever done on a car. Both lights were mounted in fifteen minutes and the stick took five. Just an observation: I'm beginning to think that there is only one wiring harness for all six models of the 3i. If I'm right that means the plug & play possibilities are awesome.

Christen C I looked, and actually its the same exact set up so it will work. I just havent had a chance to order the lights or anything. If you order them let me know what you get, I wasnt 100% sure on what i wanted yet. The only thing is that there is only one screw instead of two, I believe, to access the lights under the steering wheel.

So i put the fog lights on my 2015 mazda 6. Easy!!!! Toke maybe 30 minutes. There is a part in the owners manual about changing the fog light blobs follow that there are tabs that you have to puched on when u buts the fake thing out u will only need a screw driver (flat head) and a socket

Hi I live in australia and I bought one of these turn switches but I realised that australian are right hand drive so the turn signal switch is on the right hand side... does anyone know if theres another way to install as I have a left hand one?

That I can't say, I woild definitely try to use the OEM wiring if it's there along with the OEM fog switch.

Hey man, did your base hatch come with halogen or bixenon headlamps? I see a projector but can't tell if theyre halogen or HID.
They're halogen projectors.
+Zuriel Briones all models have projectors. Some with HIDs, some with Halogens.

Sounds about right. Definitely get the OEM switch. I makes life a lot easier by using the stock wiring!
God this is so much easier than the 2017+ models when they added led fog lights. Taking off the entire front bumper is the only way to access the fog lights

You can get to the bulb through the hole for the fog lights,you will have to remove he fog light to fit your hand, you can't see it so you will also have to feel for the connector. If I remember correctly it was a standard twist lock connector.

I recently bought a new 2017 Mazda 3. I take it the design hasn't changed?
Ernie Viskupic design hasn't changed much on 3rd gen mazda's but speaking as someone who owns a 2017 mazda 3 you will lose your auto-lights if you buy the switch that has the fog light ability.
Jordan they also sell the auto switch with the fog light option for $10 more than the regular switch.
