My favorite thing about Zwag is that he explains the core mechanic on a champion, their abilities, and their build in the beginning of the video. When I was really learning how to play and didn't even know the name of most champions, his videos helped me get familiar with champions. The best kind of "edutainment", haha.
I can Tell you "AloisNL" is a sick UA-camr who is all about winning Games by using Fundamental knowledge about the Game.
FYI: Any champion with a jump or knocked up and you have an AoE or skillshot ability, DO NOT aim at their character frame. Your ability does not float or curve up towards the ceiling. Instead, aim at their shadow on the ground. Your ability will still hit the character even thought it looks like it should miss.

Tank Veigar is a favorite of mine. But... you might want to consider building Zhonya's and/or Banshee's second item after heartsteel just to get your AP off the ground. It depends on what exactly you're up against. But it's basically just a way to deal enough damage to feel consistently like a threat. If you don't mind suffering for a bit... you could just wait and throw in a death cap after you hit like 400-ish AP. Then that ramps up your AP without wasting any gold on an item you might sell for a better armor/magic resist item later anyway. Deathcap and 5 armor/magic resist items, with some of them providing speed boosts to replace boots, is pretty solid overall.
Personally, I would find building riftmaker more fun. Still get some HP, and some healing, but it also gives extra AP based off of your bonus HP. Which, if you’re primarily building HP tank items (heartsteel, warmogs, fimbulwinter, spirit visage, etc) you’ll also be gaining a decent amount of AP for them. And riftmaker already starts out as a solid 80 AP.
@@theepicpotato4997 riftmaker instead of a resistance item? I suppose if your opponent does both types of damage. But then you might as well build liandry after so you can just burn into riftmaker. At least in my hands, Veigar can have trouble proccing riftmaker if you don't get enough ability haste.
@@jaroldscottwilliams.3rd832 yes, and keep in mind that most team comps are relatively balanced between magic and physical damage. While it’s not ideal in lane necessarily, it’s more pronounced during team fights. And team fights are vital for veigar because he can get stacks incredibly fast.
MR and Armor have diminishing returns, while HP is a flat number. 50 armor reduces like 30% of damage, and 300 is only like 70%. Additionally, grasp of undying and heartsteel will give you infinite HP, which in turn gives you even more infinite AP
Edit: oh and if you do need magic resist or armor, there’s always items like spirit visage which provide both HP and resistance
@@theepicpotato4997I mean... if we're talking tank veigar, you're going to get more HP regardless. So the purpose of getting armor and magic resist is to increase the effect of that HP. After all... people get flat pen and % pen to reduce the armor/resist. So 50 armor isn't 50 armor for long.

I once had 10k HP with Veigar in ARAM, with over 100 grasp autos and 3000hp in heartsteels, running a ROA too. The rune Ingenious Hunter made it so easy. +1.5k AP

478 AP pre deathcap is equal to 6.82 needlessly large rods (1250g each)
Therefore, the ap from the passive is worth 6.82 x 1250 = 8535 gold. That's almost 3 item's worth of gold!

Maaan full tank veigar scratches an itch. I just hope to get a Raid Boss veigar where he gets all the health from heartsteel and the only two damage items he gets is Riftmaker and Deathcap. Maybe RoA because all the damage you take then fuel your spells

I always liked your tank into damage builds. I think you were probably the reason why Heartsteel into damage conversion were ripped to shreds by riot. Lmao, back when you first did the Senna, Heartsteel, Titanic & Demonic combo. Kinda proved that it was a possibility of building tank & damage without being too troll. To me, it seemed Riot shut that down before it became a viable option.

Maybe it's just because I'm bad at the game, but I run tank veigar Every. Single. Time. that I play him, bc otherwise you're just way too squishy to actually get any damage off. I also just like that ppl tend to dive me and expect me not to be tanky then they die lol

Spirit Visage synergizes with your E healing and Seraph's shielding.
