Thanks again. Some great memories from your video and from those exact same places. Good to see the MRL unit. Hoping I get to see one in Montana. Good sound too especially the ES44 DPU. Great timing!
Thanks Richard. I'm hoping that you are able to make many notes of the areas for me because when I went out there, I don't know if I had bad luck, but it didn't seem like I saw many trains (especially in Montana by the national park up there). I'm going to send you an email later buddy. A little more than a month for you, so I'm hoping that you're doing your research.
Awesome video of the coal trains plus sll the other catches. I wished I could have went out that way during the 90s when CNW and BN were still running all the coal. Enjoyed watching and have a wonderful rest of your weekend. Steve
Thanks Steve. I agree with you 100%. Now it seems like they don't run them like they used to. It's a shame because three mainlines should be being used to capacity, so that we can see loaded coal trains slowly climbing little hills. Maybe that'll change in the future. Have a good weekend.
My first trip there was 98 and whilst mergers had happened there was still some BN and CNW units around. It was just a procession of trains too back then.
Were there still a bunch of BN SD40-2s? I always wanted to see that and when BN ran the fuel tender between units. That won't happen now, but that was a better time for this area.
@@Atsf1976yes I can remember seeing SD40’s but they were being used as manned helpers over Crawford Hill. No fuel tenders. We still have fuel tenders here on some trans continental trains across the Nullarbor plain.
I don’t know much about mining. Do you know what is mining used for? I researched and it says grown through agricultural processes. I don’t get it. What does that mean?
@@Atsf1976 thank you much. For the information . Because I use a lot of compressed charcoal pencils for art . Wanted to make sure from an expert . Thank you.

@@Atsf1976 you're very welcome and hopefully someday it will change for the better. Thank you very much also.

@@aznstylepn0y mining is used to get metals and stuff like coal out of the earth to be used for items that we use daily
